Meanwhile hope the brothers do something especially Chase.But see  I understand his hate against Jack (for the car keys) but you can't turn back time.

I am not in any way privelleged to the author, Voices, intent to what drives her characters and I willingly admit I might have overthought some things in my passion for this story. I hope this constitutes a disclaimer. This is only my opinion this far...

The caltalyst for this rapid deterioration of the Chase/Lila/Jack dynamic was the impulsive firing of Lila. It was done in such an offhand way with no regard to the intimate history they all share. That is all Jacks fault I fear. I still don't understand the reasons behind how it was executed.

Does a professional, an attorney at that, not usually have a greater sense of procedure and protocol? If not for sentimental reasons he should at least understand the importance of building consensus as  the way to have things go smoothly. Why didn't he do it the way he fibbed to Grams? I have a hard time believing Lila and Chase couldn't have kept to a "waning off period" of less and less interaction since Chase is graduating and moving to Boston in only months anyway.

As we have been reminded, Harvard is not a sure thing but to Chase Lila was and her support the reason he even has a chance to be accepted in the first place. Jack, always on Lila's case about not being by the book but when it comes to himself he wields power like an overgrown bully in a school yard. No regard to imidiate consequenses let alone longtime effects. He seems to prefer covering up his mistakes or lying so he doesn't have to face them. Wait, I Think I do understand why he fired her and when....

That morning he had two confrontations with Lila. The first one was an Epic fail in all the ways you can think of. The second encounter was more of a victory. With the Victory being the very real promise of having Lila in all the ways you can think of. He is aware that "Chase will have his head" if he tries to rupture his relationship with Lila even in the slightest. Jack may Love Chase as a brother dearly but as a man he also clearly sees him as a the threat he potentially could be. Tough spot?

Well what a chapter! Lila is doing what she thinks is the right thing, but for all of the wrong reasons. And how long does Ashley think that her little stunt will stay under cover, because she will have to gloat.

I think Ashley took those pictures....

Oh dang girl :(

This was another intense chapter and when all is said and done Lila and Jack truly loved each other. Chase needed to be faced with the hard reality that Lila was never going to be someong that loved him the way he wanted. lila loved him but like a mother loves a child and I blame Lila for not being able to control te type of relationship she and Chase had. Not dealing with her sister's death changed her from being able to keep a professional relationship with those that she worked with.

Jack had the sense to not get to close but he let his guard down and Lila now wants to do the right thing. I don't feel bad for Chase or Lila they made their bed and Jack was forcing them to deal with the reality of it. I truly feel bad for Jack he has a hard time with opening up because he blames himself for so much. Yeah he gave his father the keys but his father and mother made the choice. Yeah he didn't know how to relate to Chase but Chase made the choice to keep it that way as well. He wants to be with Lila but yet again Lila has made the choice to break up with him. Maybe its time Jack makes some choices so that he can have a life full of the living instead of living a life full of regret. At the end of the day Chase, Lila, and even Jack need to see what is right in front of them and deal with that instead of dancing around it like they can make it not so.

Chase wants to be older and feel like he's an adult then he needs to face the fact that Jack and Lila truly love each other and if he wasn't so pissed off at Jack for a choice his parents made or Lila made he could see his brother struggles just like him, maybe even worse because he has more responsibility and the one thing that has made him happy is the one thing he tried to destroy so not to hurt Chase. Chase needs to stop being so selfish and deal. I know a lot were pissed off with Lila in the last few chapters but I think she and Jack are so much alike that she holds on so not to loose peeps and Jack doesn't let anyone get to close. I still love Jack and Lila and think if they get out of their own way they can make it. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Finally Lila is doing something right. Its a good thing that she decide to stay away from both brother. This is most partly her fault. Her relationship with Chase was very inappropriate. Its obvious that Chase did not take the pictures, so my guess is that Ashley took them or paid someone to do it.

I know that I may sound mean, but I don't feel sorry for Chase at all. He is being immature. And I'm still trying to figure out why he hates his brother so much. He needs to finally get it in his head that Lila doesn't love him the way he wants. Get over it and move on. Why is he so naive to even think that a grown woman like Lila will actually have a future with a teenager like him. 

Oh no, I feel bad about the way things are turning out. That Ashley is a piece of work. She had a lot of nerve calling Lila a bitch. Chase is young and naive so he can't see how Ashley is manipulating him. Lila is right. She needs to stay away from Chase and Jack. Their relationship is more important. I can't wait to see how you resolve all this conflict. Excellent chapter.

I haven't even read the update yet I'm so excited!!!!!

Can you believe I wrote fanfiction to the last update?!? I can't even believe myself. SMH. That's how invested I am in this Story,  That I actually can hear what they (Lila, Chase, Jack) would say and talk about enough to want to get it written down for my own entertainment. That has never happened to me before when I've read original fiction. EVER!!!

Voices, You are Genius in my honest opinion. I feel like I'm taking an inadvertent creative writing course or something. I'm so hyped i'm on the verge of being giddy, wait wait wait...I AM Giddy!!!

The twists and turns this story has taken...I have to say I enjoyed this chapter.  Ah, about the keys...I see what you did there....never would have thought about Ashley but that girl is pure venom because she knows how Chase feels about Lila (you wrote that he babbled about her all night while trying to hook up with Ashley)...and she knows that Chase will will NEVER feel that way about her. The way Lila reacted in her office with Chase...is what I expected (or wanted as I said as much).

I will have to say that some questions that I wondered about were finally answered in this chapter.  In a previous chapter, Chase mentioned something about their parents' accident to Jack....and it made me wonder if Jack put those keys in their hand the night of that fatal accident.  So now I know...and it's so sad about Lila's sister.  You've added a new twist to this story with the Ashley character...and I'm wondering just what is going to happen next and is Chase going to be there for Lila (well if the story goes that way with the Ashley character)?  Yeah I'm not too keen on Chase and Lila but at this point...it's like whatever.  

Once again, I have to say that you are a good writer with some really amazing skills...to get such strong reactions from your writing is a job well done. 

All I can say is wow!!  I don't believe that Chase took those photos, I think that that ho Ashley had took his keys and paid someone to take those pictures.  Chase you deserve so much better than that little ho, Lila is not the woman for you  but there is a woman that is perfect for you.  I am glad that Lila took responsibility for her actions.  She needs to apologize to Chase for not  dealing with his feelings long ago.  Jack your little brother needed you but let Lila be his everything.    You both responsible for this situation and the price that each of you should pay is being apart!!  Excellent!!!
