I haven't read this in a while, so had to skim through the previous chapters to remember. I didn't like Joe at first but after him watching Tom and Sam have sex and Tom's mom hitting on him, he started to grow on me. So, I do feel bad for him getting attacked, since it seem like he was changing.

Joe met Karma and received a smack down.   I do feel bad because no one ever deserves to be raped.  What was his father talking, what does Joe having long hair have to with getting raped?   So glad to this story back, thank you for updating!

I now know a little more about Joe, but it doesn't make me like any better.  I still think that he's a weaselly sack hooey!!!  I feel so bad for Tom's momma, Sam is right she needs therapy.  Why doesn't Tom want her help?  Does he trust her fuly yet?  Thanks for update, I love this story!!!

Nice look into Joe's past  I didn't realize Aaron killed himself at first though. I'm glad Joe's father is making him get help because obviously he's on a self-destructive path. I don't know what to think about Sam. I know Tom would have more than likely been hurt if he walked in the hospital room and saw Sam & Joe in that intimate position. I don't know if I would use the word "girlfriend" yet.

That explains why Sam is so sympathetic towards Tom and why she treats him like she treats everyone.  Her father has another form of the disease which speaks to her characters.  However where is Tom's family?  Joe needs some therapy for his anger issues.  Joe is need of some jail and since he's twenty he'll be with the real criminals.  Lady's and gents can we say karma!!

OMG, I hate Joe so much. I hope he and Lung die in a ditch somewhere! I really, really love Tom's personality, he seems like a very good person but he also seems like he wears his feelings on his sleeves. Though I really like Sam and how she protects Tom, I hope she doesn't do anything to break his heart. I am glad that Sam finally sees Joe for what he is, but honestly it looks like he hasn't really changed.

Thanks for the update. I hope Sam doesn't hurt Tom. It would be so easy for him to develop feelings for the only person that's shown him any kind of affection and to get invested totally and for her to dissapoint him would be devastating. Why does Sam love Joe? He's very immature and not very smart apparently. What's their past, what happened with her father and who is Aaron? Please update soon.

Title: All I've ever been

This was a wonderful update.  Sam is so sweet and Joe is so clueless!  Yes, he needs to grow up.  Just because Tom is different, why is that a threat to HIM?  Why does he have to beat him up?  It seems to me that Joseph is insecure and dominating and hurting someone else makes him feel like a man.  What a jerk!  Lung is just a mindless follower.  Both are acting like they're 15 instead of 20.  Joe and Lung need to turn their lives around before the both end up in jail or dead.  While I don't want them dead, I do want something lifechanging to happen that will cause them to rethink the direction they're headed.

As for Tom, I love the fact that Sam is showing him some much needed affection.  He desrves to be happy.  I think Sam is just being nice now, but I can see that her affection for Tom is growing already.

It's sad that no one else cares for Tom.  where is his family?  Have they all abandoned him?

I'm loving this tale and look forward to the next update!
