As a parent this story disturbs me a bit too much there is no way that i will let someone take my child and tell me that they can protect my child and i dont even know them especially if they are claiming to be my daughter's mate i believe that in order for this to truly work u shouldn't try to make the parents seem like they actually love their daughter because if they did and she was taken from them. It would literally kill them inside i find that is something i cannot overcome to continue reading this story other than that it is very interesting

I love that your characters arent stupid, Lindy! There are clear warnings of danger and they are heeded by those that need to. I've said it before, but it bears repeating.
I'm glad Kiero isrelaxing into his mating with Palesa. He's edgy, but he's fully embracing his marriage and love for her.
Palesa just want lots of hardcore loving right about now.....lol!
Armelia's backstory is so multifaceted and riveting, its crazy. I can't really hate her anymore. She's been a victim in the worst way in this as well. And this Sonia chick is something new, and dangerous.
Doing a wonderful job, Lindy. This story is shaping up to be quite good with each chapter. You have your plots, but they are not so may that the reader gets completely lost that they wonder what one has to do with the other. Continue to be careful of that. And they all weave together so that they are actually part of a larger story.
I somehow completely missed this update..haha!

I hate stories where they put a child and a adult as mates bah bah.. talking about encouraging pedofiles.especially if the chil is like only 8.. not a tean but 8!!! but i try to keep an open mind.. but with the grammatical error and and missing words it's was too much of a geuss game of what was it that you were trying to say. I apologize that you found all my errors grammatical and otherwise off putting, it's understandable however your perception and understanding of my story is clearly your own. Pedophilia never crossed my mind when I wrote this, simply because none of that happens. I would think descovering one's mate does not equal sexual desires or wants, it bothers me that you read the story and came to such conclutions. I thought the main focus at the beginning of the story was the child's safe, since she exposed herself to danger. I obviously have a lot of work to do and clear up all the encouragements I send to pedophiles who visit Valent chamber to get all the pointers from my supernatural story.

What are these chicks up to?? I'm guessing, or, rather, hoping Palesa and Kiero would be able to "feel" when someone or something is messing about in or around Palesa's head? These are extremely powerful beings and I would be surprised if they werent alerted in some fashion.

Ohh...ok, so these elves are some of the same dark ones that helped the master vampire at the beginning and now has decided to help Kiero and his allies so they can become free of the master? I'm guessing this is part of that.
Kiero..lol...I get it. Its a bit much, but his feelings seem to be clear about Palesa, and he needs to just come out and tell her what's in his heart and on his mind. The good, the bad and the weird. All of that is "mates" stuff and its just going to be sticky and a little complicated; especially, given their particular set of circumstances. And I LOVE how Kiero treats Jalesa like an equal. His equal. He's completely honest with her about things that matter, and are going to matter, to their well-being. "From today you are my partner in life, love and battle." What I line! And what a declaration to his mate! No wonder he felt all of those feelings she was sending him after he said that. Who wouldn't!
And little miss Jalesa is my kind of woman! Sassy, smart, sensible; and possessing and using common sense! I hate stupid heroines! Its just really a turn-off for me as a reader. So that means I love that she's a true student of Kiero's and has really learned what he taught her in life. That office with all of those vamps is perfect proof of that. She told him to step back and take another look; and reminded him its whathe taught her to do. Its a real testament to how he raised her and what a good example he was for her. Awsome!
I also love that she's supremely confident in her love for her mate, and really, his love for her. She's willing to give him the time to get over being stupid and take his mate already....lol! She's ready for the sexy!! He wont be able to resist the mating call for too much longer, I'll wager.
I would like to see more of a display of what she's learned as far as her powers go. One of Kiero's main reasons for taking Jalesa was to teach her how to develop and use them.
Lindy, you're weaving a wonderful tale with some characters that are being well developed and explored.

Palesa is almost an adult and is ready for a true mating with her man Kiero but he isn't. So what's a girl to do? I am still perturb by the fact that he raised her and their mates. It's the eww factor times infinity! can she read his thoughts as Kiero's mate or is it one of her powers? Great update!

OMG!! Wow! Wow! Wow! My mind is spinning! You revealed so much here! The backstory is incredible! I may need to read it again to fully understand all the connections here; because there are a lot of them!
Once again I'll say, I'm glad Kiero is smart, gives smart advice, and has smart people areound who take it. I'm talking about Draven and Zeke now. With the many nuances and motives of those around him (and them), relying on, and, trusting commonsense is imperative. This is refreshing! I'm loving this with them.
Now, Armelia...dare I say that I feel bad for her? Is she really just a pathetic puppet in all of this? A child turned and grew up to be used in a horrible way, against her will, when in her right mind. Is she another tortured soul that needs to be set free as well? That's what I got out of it. And believe me, I don't want to like her - which I still don't - or feel pity for her in any way!
James, he's ripe for the plucking for this vampire to use. I don't trust him at all. Even if his mind was tampered with, he was willing, initially, to put Palesa through that for his own selfish gain.
And even though there is still a creep factor here with Palesa and Kiero, which Kiero acknowledged (lol) can I say, that after stepping through the portal having Kiero smile and turn to Palesa after she giggled at the botanicals made me smile. I don't know why, but that just struck me as such a precious and sweet moment between them.
And could this powerful uncle ( Modise ancestor) be this powerful vampire some how? There was a lot at the beginning of this chapter, but I'm not clear from it if he was definitively destroyed.
