She is a better woman than I am. I would have gone off at him thinking he should be acknowledged for her hard work! She did so much for him during their marriage, how could he do her like that? I hope Sugar finds the love and happiness she deserves. And I love her brother! Every woman should have a brother like Lory.

Some people are just greedy. They take and take and take until they grow tired of the person that keeps giving. Lance wants a legacy and he believed that Sugar couldn't give him that, so he traded her in for a younger model. However, newer prettier things aren't always good for your health and he'll see that in due time.

I do not like Lance or his paid whore, not wife. I love how she checked her too, scary trick. How dare you throw a woman's miscarriages in her face?! It says a lot about your character and you deserve a monster like Lance. I'm glad that all her hard work is paying off. I think she needs to hire someone to help her manage all that stuff though, she needs to enjoy the fruits of her labor. She's worked her entire adult life, now it's time to enjoy it now. You deserve to. Those pictures of her restraurant are beautiful!!

This was an interesting chapter.
Lance and his concubine took time out of their day to come and needle Sugar. Are their lives so bereft of any joy that this is how they get some in it? Sugar handled that just right. Lance and the concu are really quite ugly inside of their so called "handsome/beautiful" wrappers. They are quite superficial and prolly think that they are "winning". But why does it matter to them? Do they sit around being consumed by Sugar?
Sugar is living her life (businesswise) and exacting revenge on those two fools in the process, 'cause it's obvious that they are burning with resentment. Sugar can't afford to harbour hate against these two. It hurts her more than it would hurt them if she does. I'm liking Sugar ever so much. She's said, "get thee behind me satan" to that lance person and kicked dust in his face. I understand Sugar and giving her a slow clap for handling her business. She just needs a little more "life" in her personal life. Chef, can't wait until you get there. I'm thinking Chef is going to show her what "life" is all about. She hasn't had one since she married that stoopid fool and so young.

Sometimes, people get so miserable in their own lives that they have to try and suck the joy of the those they've hurt in the place. Lance and Mariah are putting up a good front, but there are some secrets they've got. As for Chef, he's on his way!

Can't have the little woman thinking she's anything without him, can he? Also *looks left* *looks right* I hope he pat. tested that baby. JUUUUST saying!
Mallory sounds like the brother who'd have your back in a brawl but you still want to strangle him at home. And I understand the stress that Sugar's under getting her business going. I'm building my own at the moment and I do wonder if I've lost my mind. Still, I can't imagine doing anything else.

LOL, Mallory is exactly that kind of brother, but he is tamer in comparsion to Sugar's twin brother, Sullivan. Sully is something else all together, but you'll learn about that along the way.

I loved the update. The ex and his former side chick sure have some nerve. No self-respecting woman whould choose to go to the resturant of her husband's former wife especially considering that the marriage did not end on amicable terms. Lance and his chick both deserve each other.

No this fool didn't try and take the credit for her idea and hard work. He don't have a leg to stand on... because they were divorced at the time. Mariah is so trifling an vindictive, throwing up painful memories for Sugar. That baby probably isn't his. Hey, just because Sugar is 37 years old doesn't mean she can't have more children.
