Sometimes Matt, it all can start with an "I'm Sorry" but he needs to take things slow with Taylor, its been 8yrs of hurt for her and for him as well.... I kinda wish there was a way for Matt to lay out Tom for even making that stupid suggestion that he not marry Taylor

That's right! He's has to start out small with her. You can tell that she is still very crushed by what he did to her. She probably felt embarassed and humiliated by his actions. Can you imagine having to tell all of your family and friends that your fiance has called of the wedding? All the questions as to why, and you really don't know yourself.
Yeah, that fool better be sorry and have a fool-proof plan to win her heart back.

Did Matthew ever tell Taylor why he broke off the engagement? Does she know he let some outsider talk into ending their engagement because she was black and it might not look right? If he did how does he expect to make something like that up to her? I think something like that will always be in the back of Taylor's mind and that could prevent her forgiving him or make it a long time coming.

Nice Update. I'm glad that Taylor is not going to simply go right back to Matt's arms, as if nothing happened. And he has started our right by saying, "I'm sorry." I like his persistence. If he loves her and he is really sorry, he won't give up and perhaps, once Taylor realizes this, they can work their way back to each other.

yes much better, a more humble and apologetic attitude. I'm very greatful you did this b/c his character wasn't very endearing before. It was as if he was too super cocky and too ready to take charge despite Taylor's feelings. Taylor is the one imo that needs to be in control (to a certain degree) since she was the one that was hurt the most. Once she calms down and has adapted to his presence as an employee and friend first then the romatical stuff can happen. He has alot of hurt to make up for and I hope he goes over and beyond in working to deserve her again. Lol wrote too much but I really enjoyed this update.

Matthew is going about this the wrong way. I don't like cocky guys. It seems arrogant and insensitive, considering that he trampled her heart and then some. He has to know his presence is causing Taylor great distress.

I have to admit i don't like how everyone is pushing to help Matt after the BS he pulled. I mean they need to move forward but it seems like her 'friends' are helping out a little too quickly and too much. and I just plain ole' don't like Matt finding ways to force the issue.

So he dropped her like a hawt potato because his manager told him to do so...what an idiot. And now he is back. I hope she makes him grovel and step all over him and then move on and find someone that can love all of her including her blackness. Matt is very persistent. Taylor clearly still cares.....she doesn't stand a chance of resisting him. LOL. But I am glad that she is going to make him WORK FOR IT. After he failed to show up at the wedding....she should make him work REAL HARD to have another relationship with her. He didn't marry her because how it would look? PLEASE....he better get comfortable on his knees for a while.

I'm going to make him have to work a little bit. In my mind, part of Matt's charm is that he is persistent as hell and in coming up against the roadblocks he faces, he's learning a more about himself. He knows about the therapy, but doesn't understand the depth of it.

Liking this story so far... so Matt was an IDIOT and listened to is agent instead of his heart... well that agent knows nothing about true football fans b/c we don't care who the QB is married to as long as he gets our team to a playoff or a Super Bowl.
The chemestry between Taylor and Matt is still there, but Matt is going to have his work cut out for him to even get Taylor to be friend with him.
Can't wait for more.
