omg I loved loved it. I loved every bit of this story I looked at the date of how long its been since the story has been updated and seen its been a while but I really hope and pray you come back to this story, and put me out of misery of what happes next. But I just wanted to say I enjoyed the story very very much and that you are a fabolous writer, and that i can't for more of Caleb-Evangeline-Todd triangle and that hopefully are gurl evangeline could get some loving from both teams lol. thanks for the story.

Wow! How did I miss this story? It was incredible and I cannot stop being blown away by the visuals that you have created in my head. It is like I was watching it unfold like a movie! I love the complexities of the Caleb/Eva/Todd tale, as well as all the other characters you have created here. I am rooting for Caleb strong, but Todd is very interesting, too. Please Please continue this story! I must see how it ends!

i never watched port charles so i know nothing of caleb but from what i have heard john could've use some of his flavor. i am loving this story, especially my todd and john angles. van as kick ass, and sexy can never go wrong.

Very nice. Really liked the back and forth with Layla and Kendra. Once again your writing has made her tolerable for me. Layla reminded me a little of Faith from Buffy. I'm guessing we'll see more of her in Before Nightrise. And Kendra too maybe?

Very exciting start. Love the Buffy reference and the nod to how being a slayer pretty much screwed her over.

Yeah I really wanted this story to focus a bit on the slayers perspective not only because it comes into play in BN but also because it was a nod to how Buffy became increasingly darker and more cynical during the show. Thanks for the review and the stars!

Excellent job greatodin, loved the Buffy mentions of course, though I'm sad so many had to die. The banter between Kendra and Layla was very cute, and the backstory was great as well, very well done. I can't wait to see how this ties into the overall series. Great work all around :)

God, there was so much to love in this chapter. The mythology was fabulous, I loved the backstory of Lilitu, it was so lyrical, and beautifully written. And it also gave Caleb even more layers, he's damn complex, something I think Evangeline is starting to realize too.
So these two chapters were awesome. Period. And I'm so glad you updated the story, I'm very much looking forward to what comes next. :)
Oh, and I do miss Yul. No pressure though.

Thank you, the mythology of Lilitu is based on an actual epic poem from that time period I just put my own story line driven twist on it but I can't take full credit I must admit. I did truly aim to add many layers to Caleb I knew he wasn't a fan favorite so I really wanted to reveal more of him to the reader. Evangeline will have some difficult choices to make.
Update will come more quickly I've already gotten a good portion of it written out so it won't be a month span again. And Yul is lurking around never fear!

Nice. Loved all the mythology behind the vampire clans. Mahdokht was very cool and girl you put the magic word in there. "Lilith." (Please, please?) Anyhoo, so the plot thickens and we've got a clue as to what might go on in Llanview. An army of the dead eh? Nice. Great update, and waiting for more.
Author's Response: Thanks! I worked really hard on hammering out the mythology combining real life folk lore with my own made up stuff. Mahdokht is a very interesting vampire, and in upcoming chapters you will see her role more clearly and how she mentored Caleb for a specific purpose. So yeah the point finally emerges, it only took 20 chapters hahahaha. Battle lines are going to be drawn and Evangeline is going to have to decide whether she is going to stand on the sidelines or pick a side and by the time Todd's story is revealed her choice won't get easier.
