ahhhh! I guessed it was Sam but this chapter definitely confirms it. I hope she tells him before any body biddy does. He does need to hear it in person with miss maya present and accounted for.

I'm probably the only person who's never watched True Blood, I've seen like a couple of episodes but never really followed the whole series. Would this be like a spin-off story?

Does Tara realize that Maya is probably a shifter? If you were going by the book, then Maya, who is Sam's first born would be shifter. It was such crap that they mad his brother a shifter, because there is only one child born per mother.
Sam is not going to be happy with Tara Mea.
