Langston is referring to Emily as Mavis' mother???? "I remembered that your mother said that her name was Emily Matheson Hendricks ." I think there was somewhere else but I can't seem to find it.

That's because when Emily introduced herself to Langston she told him that her mother was upset referring to Mavis. Emily thinks of Mavis as her mother because she didn't know her own mother who died when she was a baby. Mavis raised her. Emily's name is Emily Matheson Hendricks. (Remember she smacked her husband three times because he told her that Mavis wasn't her mother. LOL)

Damn, Langstson was a pedophile, Lily was nothing but a child when he had sex with her. But he fell in love with her. I can't wait to read about Lily's perspective. All that Mavis knew was that her mother would cry when he left her bed. That is alot of hate to overcome. Love this story!!!
