It would seem that Manny is between a rock and a hard place I understand the times but Manny needs to man up.  He should have already put Drama Queen Jenny in check he doesn't have to go all out with his business but just tell the chick he is not interested and leave it at that.

I loved this movie also.  Whoopie never got her just due because Hollywood couldn't see her as a desirable woman  SMH!!

I've got to give Whoopi her due.  Hollywood loved her, but could never see her in a romantic role because she didn't meet the standards of beauty set by them.   I loved Corrina, because they did give her a try even though they still were'nt comfortable.  In fact, Ray really didn't kiss her on the lips in the love scene they just made it look that way.  That is why he kissed her point blank on the view because they wouldn't allow it in the movie (kisses on the cheek only).  Hollywood's mouth hit the floor when Patrick Swayse said that if he wasn't already married, he'd go after Whoopie and then he kissed her point blank!  Hollywood couldn't see her as sexy, but apparently plenty of men did!  LOL

Loved this movie when it came out...had to go to the net to refesh my memory on the year the movie was set in...1959...

Love the story so far; so good to see another inspired tale from you!

Thanks for a good read.  I can already predict conflict.  Poor Corrina.  She is falling for her empoyer and her sister is aware of her feelings hence trying to fix her up with a nice single black man from their church.  As for Manny he seems to like Corrina as well as his daughter.
