Wow!! Drake and Eliza are so beautiful together. Goodness I really did love this chapter Chocolate. You could really tell that Drake finally understood why Eliza was fighting their love for each other, their relationship and giving her whole self to him. But I believe Mr. Brodie make things right for him and Eliza after their talk. they are truly in love with one another and it was so sweet to see them show their love for each other too. I of course love the making-up scene. Very hot indeed. Oh I'm hoping that Drake comes back to his love safely. I would hate for anything to happen to both of them. Great update Chocolate and I can't wait to read the ending too!!

sad that people in love couldn't be together. they would have to leave the colonies and move to an island were it was more acceptable. or if they stayed he would proably marry and kept her as a household servant and mistress. you are doing a great job with this period piece.

This story has caught me. At first I wasn't going to give it chance, but I'm glad that I did. Drake and Eliza are so real with their feelings, especially Drake. He's a very damn the consequences type man. The chapters have amazing build up and I am going to suprised as to how everything is resolved. I am hoping for maybe and indepth look at Jonathan *hint hint*. I would love to read a story about his lost lady love and maybe a reunion.

Oh, wow Chocolate, what a deep, yet moving chapter. Goodness, it was so hard to see Drake and Eliza being heartbroken and miserable. The heartache was so strong that Eliza had to run away. Oh boy when Drake finds out about that, he's going to lose his mind. Eliza should have slapped that Gloria much harder when she was leaving. But do Eliza actually think that Drake will not come after her?!? Silly girl. I'm so love Jonathan and Drake relationship and was equally surprise to see that Jonathan was in love with a black woman as well. Jonathan let her go, but something tells me that Drake isn't going to do the same thing. Especially after he talked with Jonathan on how he can conviced Eliza that they can be together. Oh, only one chapter to go!! I can't wait to see how this ends. Great as always Chocolate.

Does Drake expect Eliza to be content with being his mistress the rest of his days. Unless they move to a country that won't persecute them, I don't see how they're going to make it. And what if she's pregnant? What then? She's trying to be logical about it. I know he's jealous and wants her all to himself, but he's going to have to make some geographic changes in my opinion. Drake doesn't get that right now because he's too caught up in this whirlwind love affair. He sees Eliza as any other woman and doesn't judge her by the circumstances by which they grew up and which they are still living in. She is the woman that he loves and wants to be with for the rest of his life...she is not the black female servant that has served his family for many years...

OMG, Chocolate, you are took me sure a great high, then to a heartbreaking end in this chapter. I love how Drake romance Eliza, it was so beautiful. You can just feel the need and love that they both have for each other. *sighs* I know Eliza is scared, but you can't fight love no matter how hard you tried. I knew Drake would be jealous of Eliza still tryig to be with Will. That's his woman now and I just know that even with their little fight, Drake is not going to be able to stay away from Eliza as she can't stay away from him either. Gloria shank ass need to sit her ass down. Why am I sensing Eliza beating Gloria ass before this story comes to a end. Great as always Choclate!!!

Oh, this was great Chocolate. Now, I see that Aunt Bessie was the one who caught Eliza, but it's good that Drake set the old hag straight about Eliza. Oh I feel for both Eliza and Drake, they are starting to fall in love with each other and they both know that they shouldn't because of their race and class. But love knows no color or class, just the a person's heart inside. I loving how things are getting set-up again Chocolate. I can't wait to see what happens next. Btw, they broke the locket?!?!?
