I know this is supposed to be a romance btwn Celia and Jonathan but I swear I don't like the thought of her stepping out on her husband. Amy I could care less about, but Celia's husband doesn't deserve that, especially after all he's done for her.

I understand your feeling but you must look at this story through the eyes of the 19th century. You usually never ended up with the person you loved the most because of circumstances and especially your station in life. Even if you did have the money was it because of hard work or because of a legacy and we know victorians didn't consider this a great mixture either. Celia can never do away with that feeling she has always had for Jonathan. If you think about it Joshua becomes another complication in their marriage especially when he returns from the sea.

Now I know why I haven't like Amy since she was first introduced in this story. That is a sad way to try to keep a man by drugging him and making him believe he made love to her willingly. Even if she and Jonathan did the deed or not. Oh Celia and Jonathan have my heart with their meetings. You can just see how much the want to be together, but due to times they just can't give into their feelings just yet. Plus that fact that they are both married put a hold on some things too. *lol* I can't wait to see what happens next Choclate. :D

You end up making stupid decisions when you cannot be with the person you love and that goes for Jonathan. If Jonathan is by her side then Celia feels that she can stand up to Mr. Campbell. This is such a sweet sad story! I feel for the doctor and Celia. He has a witch for a wife BTW I DO NOT think he hd sex with her and I think she drugged him. I sure hope he finds out and gets rid of her behind once and for all. I want him to know about his son, I think Joshua deserves to have a better life that his father may be able to help him have financially.

I still am not sure about how I feel about the two of them together but I do realize that he really does love her and vice versa..I just hope this ends good for both of them!!

Sorry it tooke me so love to review. Amy gets on my nerves. I knew she was going to try something,  You could just tell about her. What is it going to take for Jonathan and Celia to break from their outer selves and give into their love for each other. YEt, I'm loving this slow build-up Chocolate. It just wonderful. I really dislkike his wife more than anything..I just hope he finds out before she takes him for everything he has and ruins his relationship with his servants.

I am not sure how I feel about Celia actually still being in love with Dr, Campbell..I know that there was not much he could have done to protect her from his father but He should have done more especially when she was having his baby..I don't know...

Plus her husband is away at sea and very much in love with her and that baby...there can be no real future for celia and the dr in this time period so ..I just don't know what to feel about them..

This story however is very thought provoking and emotional...I have a hard time with period pieces durring slavery times but this is so well done and the servants are very real people not stereotypes..I am really enjoying this story sweetie...good job!

I love how Celia politely told Amy she wasn't doing anything for her. It was a breaking you down in a nice way type of thing.
