That was an amazing story! I loved how flawed the main character was yet so well written for that we could emphathise with her. Despite the fact she was so cruel to her daughter.
It’s a great portrait of how paralyzing loss can be. You get sucked into this vortex. I loved Toni, and how strong she was. If I was her, I might have gotten impatient. I would have just taken Mia and left. Which would have been the wrong thing to do. So yeah, I really admire her.

An absolutely beautiful story! It was heartbreaking to read, but amazing all the same! I am glad that Toni did not give up on Layla and continued to be there for her friend.
I am also glad that she got through rehab and that her daughter recovered from the poison!

Oh, I loved this story. So bittersweet, but hopeful in the end as well, which was how it should be. I loved how Shawn's memory helped her though her troubles, even after he was gone. And her friendship wiht Toni was so touching, just a really great job all around.

Wow!!! I am speechless. That was riveting. It's hard to say that I can't believe that Layla fell apart and let her life crumble away like that all because she lost a loved one becuase I fell where she was coming from. But, I have never been in her shoes so I honestly can't say that I would or wouldn't react in that way. I'm just happy that she chose life and her daughter, Mia. I also love that she had a good friend to stand behind her through think and thin and through ups and downs. Great Story!!!!

I enjoyed reading this because of the ups and downs of Layla. I'm happy that in the end, she realized that the child her and Shawn created out of love was worth fighting against her inner demons.
