Title: Any Direction You Choose

What an awesome sequel! Cheered when I read this! I’m really glad both her and Reese are a couple. Quite similar to the themes covered in “where is it I’m going”, only more hopeful, the future looks bright and promising.

Loved Reese’s parents, I think everyone knows a couple like them, I think they’re awesome, great parents judging from how Reese turned out.

I felt kinda sad though, cause I know from experience that when you go to different colleges, 90% of the time, long distance relationships do not work, and that made me feel bad cause I really enjoy these two as a couple.

Again, I would love to read more about them one day, later on in the future, so I hope you continue to write about Simone and Reese!

Author's Response:

Sorry to get back to you so late on this, but thanks for the awesome review!

In my mind the future is bright for Reese and Simone, though there are a few stumbles along the way. I loved writing Reese's parents. They're odd and quirky, but loving. They're not ashamed of who they are, which is why Reese isn't either. I like characters who embrace their quirks and don't apologize for them or want to be normal.

When you go to college things do change, and I think that will happen for Reese and Simone, but the great thing about fiction is that you can choose how much reality you can incorporate. Reese and Simone are it for each other even if they might not realize it.

"We are going to do all that," Reese said. "And I am lucky, but it's not like your parents don't love you. I think it's possible your mom and dad aren't going with you because it would be too hard for them to let you go. They love you, Simone, just not the way you need them to."

Okay, this right here made me fall in love with this guy a little bit.  Loved this story Lucky. I love these two and their quiet affection for one another.  And the scene with Kay was inspired : D

Lovely work as always.

Author's Response:

Sorry about the late response, but thansk so much for reading this. I'm glad you liked it.

I love the quiet affection Reese and Simone have for each other too. I wish they'd got together on the show. Although, I didn't like Kay on the show, I'm glad she got pregnant. I thought it would make her and Miguel better characters, but it didn't. I wanted to try and fix that a bit.

Loved the first one and this one as well...Best line of the story

By now bitterness and anger were familiar friends of Simone's. They comforted her, pushed her forward even as they held her back. They kept her myopic, unable to see anything other than what they wanted her to.  - So freaking awresome and true.. I love your writing style.

Great story.. Thanks for sharing!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for reading, Zeta! Sorry for the late response.

While I was writing it suddenly came to me that maybe I was giving into Simone's perspective of her parents and making it to much of a black and white issue. Simone sees her parents faults, but sometimes doesn't see how much they love her.

Thanks again, Zeta!

Wow, that was poignant.  You take the characters of Reese and Simone, and make them so real. How one feels when going off to college, the hopes, the expectaions you have, and the bit of home you end up longing for.  Please, can we have some more?

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for your kind words!

I'm thinking of writing one more story in the bunch. I'm a slow writer so who knows when it'll be posted.

It's way past time for me to go to bed, but I had to read this because I was so excited. I can't adequately express right now everything I loved about this story, so I'll leave a much longer, detailed review later. But this just kicked so much ass. You seriously outdid yourself with this story,I think it might be even better than the last one. It's just..really, really good.

I love Reese. I fucking love Simone. Be back with more on the morrow. But this was excellence. Take a bow lady. :)

Author's Response:

Thanks, Token!

I'm starting to really love Reese too. He's getting right up there with Patrick.
