I still don't feel bad for Katrina. She should have handled her business the way a real mother should have. There may be love there but she doesn't know how to be a mother.

Your're exactly right. Katrina should have handled it better, but she doesn't have the skills and never acquired them. Her focus was narrow when she accepted the gift of parenting, tying all of her happiness to the son. I wrote this because I see it so often, where mothers with very little ability to love turn to the son to bring them the answers missed in love. The girls suffer. How Katrina treats and responds to Lourdes is a representation of how she loathes herself. She needs some professional help to get to the issues.

I’m with Barbara. I don’t trust Lourdes either. She’s either playing all sides for revenge or vengeance or both and using Dean to do it, or....she’s just as much a pawn in this whole conspiracy of sex, lies, greed and murder.
Let the chips fall where they may. Hopefully Dean will come out on the other side virtually unscathed.

Thanks for reading and picking it up in this date, so close to my ending. I hope you get to finish it. I selected Dean for the win, same as Lourdes. Because she's my heroine, I chose to focus more on her dynamics being a rich girl in an unbalanced world of deception, lies, and battery. Dean has his issues too, but they are so different from hers and come mostly by way of a poor country boy catapulted to fame and fortune and not having any guidance in how to manage all of that money.
He will get his chance to a fresh start, they both will. Some day, I just may revisit them. But I think it was all tied up neatly at the end.

This is interesting so far; it has major potential. I like the vibe, the flow, setup, plot, the whole nine. The characters’ dialogue read like men: straight to the point, no wavering or extra ‘talk’. (I like that a lot.)

I've read through this point and must say I love it :) I love how you have such a grip on all things pro-football! Oh and the casting is amazing! I can so see Mark in the role of sheisty lawyer and Blair as pimp/gangster/the boss/etc. LOL. I hope to get this finished soon. The sex is hot; their attraction to one another is hot. I love the visuals and love your casting and take on the character of Kat. The whole setup, how she is, how she came to be the ruthless businesswoman she is brought a bit of a smile to my face, though she is pretty cold and heartless now. I love that she tried 'real love' once against the wishes of her parents. This is obviously where Lourdes gets her bull-headedness from. I 'has' to be. LOL. Kat's relationship with Gus is pure sexy; he's basically sprung and again, love your casting with Eric. I hope to catch up with the rest of this soon! Great job! Love the story and the characters and look forward to more. Oh and great job on the banner too!

This is such a beautiful story. Although there is some heartwrenching moments with what Lourdes had to go through with Percy. He was really a sick man.

I have been wanting to write this story for a long time and the movie gave me so much room to tell it. The 80's weren't very expressive with stories that even hinted at abuse. But I found the opportunity. I hope I did it justice. Yes Percy was a very sick man who lived many lives...and likely anyone who met him would have a different story to tell about him.

Great cast! Is that ole dude from All My Children? I agree. He was a great villain and I liked him a lot. Much like I liked the actor who portrayed Jonathan. But they never keep the good ones around long. Can't wait to read! Taking this to doctor's office with me.

This poor girl. Her horrid past is why she has a hard time trusting people. The people who were suppose to love and protect her never did.
