A very good story, During the Regency and Victorian period it was quite common for the English upper class to marry black women from the Indies due to there wealth that they inherit from there white father. This story is accurate.

Little William is so cute and I love how he calls her Princess Mary. He is not going to like Fitzwilliam coming along and stealing his girl!
The flashback was such a heartbreaker. I could see her with her little bag trying to travel with her papa.
