Yay!!!! I loved the update. Glad Richard whipped the viscount's tail. The viscountess is such a schemer. I hope her plans backfire bigtime in her face. About time Darcy gave Richard the go ahead. Hopefully all will be well with them .

Elizabeth broke it down to Darcy. I'm glad he explained himself not to be a bigot but instead trying to avoid any unpleasantness that would come from them being together. Richard is so sweet and tender with her. He intends to marry her one way or the other. Great chapter!!

Loved it. I hope they give it to the viscount good ( rip him a new one) after he left Mary in the woods like that. He acted like a spoilt child. What kind of wife is the viscountess to encourage him to behave like that. At first I was feeling sorry for her but now I think she deserves every rotten thing the viscount does to her. Glad all is well with Mary. I hope the viscountess and her evil crew be dealt with severely. Hope Mary and Richard eventually get a chance to talk and clarify some things.

Author's Response: Sorry! I was going to write more, but I try to keep the chapters to 10 pages and this was getting long. Also, a bit of a cliffie seemed like a good place to stop while keeping my promise to update this week. But, you shouldn't have to wait 3 months. It was two weeks between this chapter and the last. As I have been picturing the ball in my head for the past three years, the next chapter should be up soon.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I had dinner the other night with Betsy, Debra Ann and Ellen from the DWG and AHA, and I was telling them how long I've been working on this story. It has been four years! But, I plan to keep writing until it is finished and then edit it well to try and get it published. Thanks for the encouraging words! They really mean alot!
