Yes, I think it reads better with the dialogue. Much better. I got a little confused at first because of the italics (I'm accustomed to them being used mostly for thoughts), but that just might be your writing style. Either way, I enjoyed the re-write.

Thanks for a great read. What a roller coaster of life they both have had. I was stunned that one of Angel's brother died while trying to rob a facility and the other brother is in prison for murder. Jahki story was even more grim about his cheating wife and the way that she died...yikes. Glad that they had their first date and that her landlady told him about how Angel was struggling with school and the job, Although she lied to get the job. Looking forward to reading the next update. Thanks
