I've read all of the previous chapters and have to say this is hella good. I also read stories on literotica.com (sorry if I shouldn't mention another site) and this is remniscent of some work I've seen there but I still want to read this and will stay up all night if I have to. My only complaint that you were switching tenses but I think you've got someone editing and it is better now or I'm so into the story I'm changing the mistakes for myself.Keep up the good work and I think you need to be published. I've read published work from genesis press that wasn't nearly half as good. You've got real talent cause believe me I've read a lot over the years starting when I was 13 till now I'm 43 and I know good when I read it. So thank you for sharing and keep up the really good work.

First, let me apologize for not reviewing earlier.  I read along with this story as you were posting, sometimes twice or more a week.  It takes a lot of dedication to live your life with its day to day responsibilities and still find time to post some of the most emotional, lengthy and well crafted chapters I've read in a fanfic.  I felt, at the time, my small words of praise were inadequate of the talent for which they were to be bestowed.  Knowing how much I loved this story, it was wrong of me not to drop any words to reflect my enjoyment.  Again, I humbly apologize.

Now, the review.  While reading along, this story got better and better with each post.  You were able to mold and delve into the personality of each character in a way that allowed one to get a feel for them individually, which produced an understanding of the motivation for their actions, even if I did not agree with them.  I LOVED Nicolai!  The fact that he was unapologetically who he was, shaped by a past he could not control and adapted to a life he was thrust into, endeared me to his character.  His love for Sunny and strive to be better, more worthy of the light she brought to his darkness, was heartbreaking.  If ever there was a more emotionally tortured hero, with less desirable traits, whose character was more fleshed out, I have yet to read it.  Sunny, though her mother passed while she was but a child, was able to use the little that was instilled in her to flourish into a well rounded and capable young lady that was responsible and a true mother to her brother.  The only trait she possessed that was evidence of her father's addiction and mental abandonment, was her need to take care of everyone.  She was so use to being the one that was responsible and leaned on, it was understandable how she was able to fall in love with the one person she shouldn't, because he treated her as one most treasured and allowed her to unburden herself, albeit reluctantly, to another.  Watching these two grow into their feelings of love and acceptance, was a joy to read.  The Russian language interposed throughout Nicolai's dialog, only added to the uniqueness of the story.

I actually bought a popular book a few months ago that had aspects of this story (the hero was a Russian mobster with an innocent young African-American heroine) that was in my opinion, though a good book, was not as good, compelling or fleshed out as this.

GET PUBLISHED!!

You have a gift and talent for details and character development, that I don't see in a lot of books I've purchased. Believe me, I buy and read 2-3 paperbacks a week, not to mention numerous e-books.  I've paid good money for some awful books, so to read an excellent story such as this, for free, makes me feel a wee bit guilty...;-p

THAT WAS FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! As you progressed through the story everything just got better and better from grammar to speed to flow. It was just great. I was soooooo hooked I pulled it up every time I was home. The emotional roller coaster was a lot but in a good way. It seemed to genuine and real. I don't know what else to say. You have a lifelong fan in me. 

oh my i started reading this wonderfull story last night and i can't stop you have swept me into this world , i just wanted to say i have been waiting for jacob to pass on and i hope that gives his kids a new outlook on life . i also hope that sunshine dose not leave her nikki, they could have one of those crazy love storys ... i guess i need to read on ... thanks for this great story cynn;-)

Onimosity...I've been reluctant to leave my review...not because it wasn't as amazing as it always is...just felt like that I could hold onto them just little bit longer...it has been a such thrill ride from start to finish...I've lived these characters...become so engrossed into their lives it's almost embarrassing to admit how much they've touched me...yes, your characters were fascinating and flawed like the rest of us...yes, you've presented a tale of an implausible yet unique story of true love...but it was you, girl, who brought forth those emotions...you bared your soul to us...pulled us into the pages of your novel and never let us go...you've made ME cheer for, cry with, worry about, ponder, and yes FEEL these characters...for a small space of time...I was a part of their world...I got to live vicariously one of the greatest love stories ever told...and for that...you are deserving of my praise...you are deserving of all the kudos that your heart can stand...you've brought me along on this incredible journey to experience love in its purest forms...we all have our own ideas of what love entails...you've allowed me to think outside the box...live upon the edge...root for the unrootable...hope for the impossible when it looked like all hope was lost...and teach me one of the greatest lessons there is to learn...that love is indiscriminate...it shows no favors for sinners nor saints...it just is...give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back for that...you have become quite frankly one of my favorite authors...pubished or not...bravo to you girl!!!!
