Awesome!! Glad Sergei is still alive. Can't wait to see what Sunny is gonna say to Nikki. Will she stay or will she go???

Wow...this was raw and oh so emotional!  I loved it!  I can't wait for the next chapter to see what decisions they have both made!

I regret that I didn't get a chance to start reading the story until you were almost done with it, but it has been an amazing story!!

I hope Sunny and Nikki will still end up together. Sunny has said herself that she loves Nikki despite who he really is, flaws and all.

I think the biggest point for me is Nikki telling his father that he doesn't want to be violent and in the family the way he is. That means he wants to do right by Sunny, wants to be better for her, and is willing to put her first.

So, please let these two have a happily ever after. Patiently waiting for the final chapter and epilogue.

Well how can this end well..really...they are painted in a horrible corner. Either she stays with him with regrets and fear of the monster that lives beneath her man or she leaves him and he chooses to no longer live with the misery of life without her... What horrible choices ..what a very sad ending for these two that neither deserves.

Is Nikki a dangerous man..yes he is..would he ever hurt or put Sunny in danager...he would die first. Would this have turned out so severely bad had Sercei not butted into a situation that was absolutely none of his business..NO!!!

I even think if the gun was never pointed on Sunny..Nikki may have let Sergei walk away...and what if Sergei had killed Nikki...would she still be as distraught..I am just very sad about the way this is turning out.

So looks like no happily ever after for my kids and it really breaks my heart..though I never expected a fairytale ending...not after their beginning....and his lifestyle...I just did not want them to end up hurting...not after all the misery they both have had in their lives..it is very sad.

You can take your time with the ending and I will get my tissue cause I am feeling the tears already.

BTW..I do not feel sorry for Sergei in any instance at all..he is lucky to still be living!!!IMO!! He maks me sick..

Damn. I feel like I read this update in less than five minutes. lol. I feel so sorry for Sunny and Sergei, and I guess to a less extent Niki. Awh well I'm interested to see move with this particular event in the story. Thanks for the update. Please keep them coming.

<cough, cough> Didn't mean to stay away so long. I've been sick and cranky all week and very over all the funky weather. Rain. Cold. Cold. Rain. Rain and cold. ... you get the picture.

Anywho... The chapter was so, so brilliant. I am not a natural or lifelong fan of romance. I love mysteries. Crime thrillers. Brilliant, scary, murderous psychopaths and the men and women who chase them. I love strong, alpha men with a little edge, redeemable amounts of dysfunction, salvageable broken hearts. Strong independent women who kick their asses and hug and comfort them,love them, teach them,  guide them and are led by them without losing themselves or becoming submissive drones.

Somehow, you have managed to roll most to almost all of that (less the pesky law enforcement presence) into one wonderful story that is so in-depth that your faithful readers rebel when you tease us with breaking up the world's most unlikely happy couple.

I'm too brain dead and medicated to go on, but Attheritz said it best.

 I'll add an A-men to her review and offer an aged bottle of island rum for whatever potent potable she has in mind. I'm switching from the pharmacy shit to hot toddies in a minute.

Wow. did the shot hit Sunny? I hope not. Glad she saw what Sergei is capable of. Now how will she react? What will Nikki do? What will Ant do? This chapter had me holding my breath til the last sentence.

Loved Sunny's naked Russian convo with the cat. Too funny.

2 more? Oh no! I hate to see it end; I know it must but I'm still sad to seeit happen. It's been one helluva ride. I have thorougly enjoyed each hill and valley of this story of Sunshine and Nikolai.

Guess I'm late to game...been sick as a dog last night and tonight...but after reading the latest chapter...how could I not review...

So Sergei has deemed himself judge, jury, and executioner...how arrogant and foolhardy of him to assume that he knows what's best for Sunshine and who is deserving of her love...he says that he knows her...he says that what he's doing is for the best...for whom...her...him...his choosing to 'set her free' by destroying her heart is a concept I cannot wrap my mind around...and the level of disregard he has for his own brother is astounding...does he care nothing for Anatoly at all...again...he's making assumptions that Anatoly will land on his feet after all of this...is he crazy...how is he so sure that this one foolhardy act will not mean the end not only for Nikolai and himself...but not his own brother...says a lot for family loyalty, doesn't it...he has not only sealed his own fate...but effectively his brother's as well...

The building crescendo to the final errant shot was remarkable...like hearing the final movement in a well-crafted symphony...I was drawn into that little tiny room...watching the interplay between to the two principals...my heart pounding as the excitement and anticipation built up...and Sunny walking in at the end of it all...genius...just pure genius...I don't even want to contemplate what will be the aftermath...I'm almost afraid to read what has transpired...whose world has turned black...or could it be all three...did that bullet end Sunny's life...and with her death...did the blackness return never to be banished for Nikolai...and in his madness and grief...did the world turn black for Sergei at the hands of Nikolai...that was one whopper of a cliff-hanger... 

I think I'm going have to join you and the Muse...but I think I'm going to need something stronger...so until next time...I'll be sitting at the bar...drowning my sorrows...sublime as always...in the words of Lestat the Vampire..."Give me more!!!"

WOW...I have spent the last two days reading all 40 chapters!!  This story is incredible!!

I really can't beleive that Sergei went with the intentions of killing Nikolai! He really wasn't thinking what that was going to do to his brother or to Sunny!

I am also interested to see what the Pakhan has done to try and help out Sunny and NIkolai.  I also enjoy how much stronger Sunshine has become in this story!  

I hope you update this one soon...I am hoping that you won't allow Nikolai to die...

I am really hoping it was Sergei's world that went black after Nikki punched him in the face.

Oh gosh, oh gosh. The fact that the gun went off is making me nervous...Loved the exchange between Nikolai's pov and Sunshine's. I def would've been wondering what Sunshine was doing at those moments but now I don't have to...The part that touched me the most, Sergei's comment about Sunshine simply adapting to Nikolai. It's an interesting thought one I'd never considered before. I mean there relationship is def forreal but would it be this way if she had always been free?
