That cliffhanger ending in the last chapter stirred up many scenarios in my mind, including one in which Sunny is there to witness this unfolding madness. Given this new cliffhanger I see that my mind will have to go swirling again. Wow Onimosity! This suspense is going to kill us loyal fans. As it stands, I am in knots and in need of a happy ending for our golden couple. Sunny and Nikolai deserve one. But there you go making it a possibility that either Sunny or Nikki may have gotten shot. I think I will have a meltdown if one of them dies… lolol.

As we say where I come from, “that was a ‘boss’ chapter.” Sergei did get some of my sympathy at first, but not much I am afraid after I thought about it some more. I can’t help but look at Nikolai situation and reflect on what little option he has of becoming who he is and being where he is.

Sergei, by contrast, was not forced into the lifestyle that he ended up in, did he? He had options, options his brother wanted him to explore. He drifted into the life with his eyes close. Did he give full thought to the lifestyle he so nonchalantly agreed to enter? Where the hell did he think his brother was working? Did he think people in the 'organisation' were playing with guns and shit? He wasn’t forced, pushed or threatened into the life. He had options, but his aimlessness set a path for him and look where it took him - gun in hand pointing it at Nikki and then at Sunny, trying to save Sunny when she didn’t ask to be saved. Did he ever listen to her? WTF. Who appointed him Sunny’s keeper. Suddenly he has a sense of purpose and it has a name, Sunny. I think he is projecting his frustrations, unrequited love and obvious insanity into the belief that he is trying to save Sunny. He didn’t seem to think things through and Nikolai’s reaction to him pointing his gun at Sunny shows further that all bets are off when the woman he loves is in harm’s way.

If Nikolai is wounded maybe now she would say those golden words. One thing though, I don’t think Sergei is dead (at least I hope not) but my fear is for Sunny and Nikolai or even Priscilla who may well be in the house. Please, at least if one of them is hit, don’t break my heart and kill them off :(

So when are you updating again, later tonight you say. Ah that’s good :D. Thanks for the rollercoaster ride and for keeping my interest. This read has been worth it all… lolol…

First I will say I hate cliff hangers...they are are neccessary especially in such complex, emotionally challenging, expertly crafted , beautifully written stories as this....But I think you are trying make this last for us so I forgive you! :)

Sergei is a sad man that he puts a woman that does not love him, that he apparently does not really know and does not need saving, ahead of hhis own life and his families.

If he killed Nikki or Sunshine...he is dead and his family is dead...why? why? I selfish , immature and foolish!!

If Sergei dies Sunny and Nikki may break up but Sunny heart will be broken and she will never be the same again or she may not leave Nikki at all..so his purpose is defeated. 

Anyway it goes there is no win for Sergei in this situation..even if no gets physically hurt the emotional scars will be permanent and his freindship with Sergei ends today.

I think Sunny got shot or Nikki or an innocent but not Sergei..the title of the chapter does suggest that however gets shot may not die..but who really knows...I know it is a huge turning point.

Why is it everytime Nikki and Sunny have a small section of happiness something horrible happens...hasn't their lives had enough sadness that they deserves some happiness...I think they do...it would be so sad that after all this....Stanis coming down to free his son and talk to his girl....Nikki changing becoming a better man.''.giving and revealing his real heart to Sunny and her leetting down her guard with him...that it would all end in tragedy...but many many times life is just not fair...'so who knows what you will give us sweetie...just do what is real to you...if the ending meets with the rest of this wonderful excellent story..we will not feel short changed or slighted no matter what happens...just be true to you or more so true to the magnificent piece of work you have created!!

I knew Sunny was going to walk in on them. I REALLY hope the bullet didn't hit her. Although, I could honestly see her dying, and being taken form them. Well Sunny will get to see Nikki at his worst. Sergie pointing that gun at her was a huge mistake.

Well Sunny has a up close and personal view of Nikki's world.  Sergi was right and wrong about the situation.  Wrong for using the crazy get yourself killed --by a over the heels in love Russian-- confirmation mode, but right regarding the gilded cage comments. Sunny has adapted and must make a choice without blinders on.  I am still team Sunny/Nikki, but she no longer has the option to avioid Nikki's "world".  As always, a great update.  So, you and the must are not going to leave us hanging through the weekend?  Right.........

OMG; I just got through reading and I am really anxious to find out who (if anyone) got shot!  Really hoping it's not Sunny or Nikki; I guess it would be too convenient if stupid Sergei shot himself!  What an excellent update, but another cliff-hanger...you big meanie:)

It's bittersweet that this is coming to an end, but it's been quite a ride; thanks for that!

All I can say is wow. Sergei was willing to die for something that is really none of his business. Nikolai was right he isnt forcing Sunshine to be with him any longer he is who she wants to be with. So the gun went off wonder who got shot.? I hope know one got seriously hurt. I think Sergei needs to go back to were he came from. I hope Nikolai gets out of the business. Great chapter. Look forward to the last 2 chapters.Its been a wild ride reading about Sunshine and Nilolai.
