I was LMAO throughout this entire chapter. This was some of the best comedic writing I've read in a while:
"He has an S curl, so no."
"Maybe he just has wavy hair."
"Oh please, look at how juicy it is, he probably has to wear a shower cap at night. Someone was a little TOO into Ginuwine back in the day if you know what I'm saying. Pass."
Please! Me and Jenelle must never, ever part! That was just great! LOL! (Why am I still laughing at this?)
I loved the little inner dialogue going on with Audre when she was talking to the son of a bitch I mean Greg! She kept her cool but dammit why'd she have to run into leaky eye! I wanted Audre to acknowledge her and move the fuck on but she asked her THE question. I can't stand chicks stuck on status because I think that's a bunch of bullshit. (I know that may have been too much but I had to let it out!)
Loved her moment of freedom. Painting is so relaxing. You can really get lost in the act and forget about all the crap going on in your life.
Anyway, your story is stellar and so are you! I'm really enjoying the hell out of this tale.
Author's Response: YEA that is awesome to hear thank you so much! I love Jenelle she's my invisible BFF and I love the comedy she brings to the story. Audre can at times be a glutton for punishment and she's still torn between a couple of worlds at the moment. There's still some growing up to be done but her tapping into her painting is definitely a major moment of freedom for her. This was soooo good. Cass obviously feels insecure about her man demonstrated by the need to make Audre feel bad. If her list of things are the reason her relationship works..that is a sad situation. I can't wait for both of them to get theirs. They deserve each other. As my mother says the best revenge is living well, looking good and loving hard.
I am so glad Audre had the outlet of painting. I hope this turns into a new avenue for her...maybe an art showing. I would love to see the look on their faces when Audre is applauded by her loving man!
Author's Response: Yep all is not well in Cass/Greg's relationship. You're mom is so right, that's great advice and I wanted to show Audre do exactly that. Art showing could be in the future, she is definitely going continue to rediscover her love of painting it's a part of herself she's kept locked away for too long. Thanks for reading and the review!
