If I were Regina in the very racist climate she's in I would be very suspicious of this white boy Alan Bosley too open offer of friendship. And inviting her to sit at the table with only boys, mostly white, I would as a black girl be afraid he's setting her up for a gang rape, since raping black girls is a common sport in the South.
