Tabby and Jace met for the first time at a family member's wedding and decided to take advantage of the company and island scenery. What they didn't expect is that their paths have crossed before. It's funny how the past can come full circle.

Title: Chapter 4: Family Business

I enjoyed reading this story.

I'm a bit curious about Eden and Vinny. Wasnt Eden hostile towards Vinny in All Caught Up when he paid Stacy (juror) a visit?

Title: A Heart Redeemed (Sequel to the Preacher's Son)

I found Max's behavior strange and Eric's reaction even more so than Max's.

I was hoping that by this time she would have gotten her emotions under control but she seemed to be getting out of control.

I didn't get the family's reaction about the proposal neither did I understand their expectations for the relationship.  At this point I think the family got way too involved in Matt and Max's relationship.

Title: A Heart Redeemed (Sequel to the Preacher's Son)

This chapter seemed out of character. Again, Max is acting unstable. I didn't understand the whole courthouse visit since they weren't getting married immediately.

I found it strnage that Rachel turned against Max so quickly. In my opinion, it felt like everyone was against Max and she started to feel cornered. I felt bad for her.

Author's Response:

Seeing Rogers and being in that situation really affected Max and everything that happened to her at 13 came crashing back.  It was a major setback for her.  She immediately became paranoid and insecure about her relationship with Matthew.  That led to the courthouse scene (get the license before he changes his mind!).  She was acting out of fear.  Matthew realized that, but played along even though it caused him to be set back a little healthwise.

As for Rachel, she was angry at Max for what she did.  Matthew is her son.  A mother's protective instinct kicked in immediately.  She's not against Max, she's worried about Matthew and whether their marriage will work.  It all came about so quickly.  Moms will be Moms.  Max realizes why Rachel is upset.  She doesn't really feel that she's against her, just mad at her.

Thanks again for the review.

Title: A Heart Redeemed (Sequel to the Preacher's Son)

I was saddened by the last couple of chapters because I didn't like how Max came across. I felt like everyone was against her.

I didn't understand why Nadine would abandon her sister to live with the in laws. I felt that she turned her back on her sister. Their argument wasn't that big of a deal for her make such a drastic change.

I looked up and saw that the story was coming to an end but it seemed unresolved. The issues between Max/Nadine, Max/Rachel, Max/Dr., and Max's issues weren't fully dealt with.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the wonderful review.  Not all issues were resolved in this segment (like all weren't resolved in the last segment).  I may pick it up again.  When I wrote this in 2010, by the time I got to the end I was burnt out and needed a break.  Posting on the Chamber has revived it somewhat and I may write another segment later.

As for Nadine, she really didn't abandon Max.  Nadine has always been her biggest ally and protector.  Now however, she has a husband, two babies and job and goes to beauty school.  It's a bit overwhelming for her, especially when Max acts out.  She was already feeling somewhat guilty for living with Max, but when Max vocalized the feelings Nadine were already wrestling with, (living off Max, holding her back, etc) Nadine felt that it was best if she gave Max some space.

Max realizes this.  They are sisters and they have been together all their lives and now they both need to move forward.  By no means is Max out of the woods yet.  Max still has a ways to go, but she reached a turning point when she could actually make love with Matthew.

So, thanks again for your input.  I really do appreciate your opinion.

Title: A Heart Redeemed (Sequel to the Preacher's Son)

My first thought was ... this can't be IT LOL I hope this is not it for the Fergusons.

I don't think Nadine and Eric made the right decision.

I loved that Max and Matt finally got together, but I just felt like their story is unfinished. I don't think their story got closure.I am left wondering if Max resolved her issues with Nadine, Dr., and Rachel.

I hope that you continue this wonderful story. Thank you for sharing this!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for the kind review.  I wrote this story in 2010 and so it was easy to post here.  If I pick it up again, (and I might) I will be writing as I go so the updates wont be as frequent.  A story never really ends, does it? There's always more to write!  Thanks again!

Title: A Heart Redeemed (Sequel to the Preacher's Son)

I had so many emotions going through my head when I was reading this chapter.

First, I couldn't understand why Matt decided to confront this jailbird alone. Then, I thought about how clever the perv thought her was by texting Max. Next, I was angry because they were at the perv's mercy. Finally, I thought-I dumb is Greta for trying to confronting him.

I was relieved when that scum was shot.

I felt that Matt was trying to rush the relationship; I didn't understand (beside him nearly dying) why he was trying to rush when it's obvious she is not ready for such a serious step.

Another reaction I didn't expect...I thought that Nadine was very insensitive, but I also thing Max overreacted.

I don't understand why Max's characted became borderline deranged and unstable towards the end of the story.

Title: A Heart Redeemed (Sequel to the Preacher's Son)

I am so glad Sr. stop being judgemental...I like him better this way. We are all entitle to our beliefs but he was going over board.

Max's family got hurt by a white person so I could understand her father anger, but I didn't understand the Ferguson's.

What are the chances that the perv ends up working with Max's family? He should be hung by the you know what.

I was shocked to find out Emerson's true parentage, but I understood why his father keep make references to Emerson being like his grandpa in looks and personality.

Matt's reaction to Kristen PRICELESS....That was funny.

I couldn't stop reading this story. It was awesome.

Emerson, Jr is a mess; he is WEIRD LOL

Author's Response:

LOL  It's always about Emerson, Jr.  didn't you know that?  LOL.  He really is a mess.  I enjoy writing him as well as Emerson, III.   I had the best time writing the chapter when Olivia tore the place up and demanded that he make love to her 3 times to make amends for his bad behavior.  (After smacking him around, of course)
