Title: Chapter 8: Chapter 8
Perfect!!!
The beach... the clear blue water, crisp salty air, and sandy ground is a perfect setting to relax and reflect and attempt to move on from the end ing of her marriage. And that's what Laila needed more than being out celebrating wiht the girls.
Laila's thoughts about her and Chase's beginnings as children explains a lot about Chase's history of neglect, and his pain, anger and abuse, but he chose violence instead of getting help. And unlike most, he had resources available to him to get the help he needed.
Laila, naturally, would claim some of he blame. However, Chase was a grown man in control of his own destiny.
It always amazes me the time, energy, and emotion people put into being jealous and envious of the success of others, instaed of simply redirecting and expending all that trying to get their own shit together, make their own success.
Anywho, Jamison and Jade... I like the potential of this relationship for her. They are sweet together and Mister Coltrane-playing Jamison is definitely interested. I should be nice, refreshing... real... for Laila... until the greedy manipulators of her career step in.
P.S. Oh, Mari, welcome to The Chamber.
Author's Response: So true. Sometimes when things happen in your life, the best thing to do is be alone with your thoughts, contrary to what most people think. Chase has some real mental issues. But, he is also far from being out of Laila's life. Jamison and Jade are my favorite. They are going to do really good things for Laila, show her that there is love and life after divorce.
Thanks for you warm thoughts! haha
