Summary:

 Banner

Art Historian Aidan Bell and student Collista Carson can't stand each other. Yet for some reason, he asks her to be his new assistant.  Although doubtful that they can co-exist without killing each other, Collista has her grade in his class to think about and so accepts the position.  One thing leads to another, and before long, the two are finding it hard to maintain their professional distance.

Then the specter of Aidan's murky past casts its shadow over the forbidden relationship.  Add a priceless painting, a ruthless art collector and soon Collista finds herself in the position of having to help Aidan solve a mystery before he goes down for the count.  Will he have enough time to teach her what she needs to know about the art of the steal?

I adore Toccara, and to me, she was the perfect Collista.  I had no one else in mind.  Full figured, sexy and gorgeous.

I think girlfriend has more self-control than I do...and I'll just leave it at that! lol  Slow on the uptake but quick to do something about it is Collista.  I wonder if Bell will let her!

Lmao!  Bana, I believe from the comments I've read that Collista has more self-control than all of us put together. 

You make me laugh!  Poor Collista.  She was soooo clueless to Aidan's feelings and her own as well. 

Hmmm, Bell is torn, doesn't want to feel the way he does but there's no telling if he has the stamina to go the distance and resist once Collista gets on his...trail?  lol

And here I thought I was being nice.  *throws self on the floor and has a fit*  Truly, I was givin' y'all a little sumthin' sumthin' to tide you guys over.  Oh well mission not accomplished in my case.  :-O

I just can't help it though.  I adore Aidan for fighting his feelings. Now, Bana, don't you think Collista's playing her cards close to that big chest of hers for a reason?  Haste makes waste.  Or somethin' like that.   lmao

Now that the situation is out in the open, it's gonna bemhard for these two, especially Bell, since he now knows he can have what he wants.  Collista seems pretty sure about what she wants and how to go about getting it, or is she?

And I agree.  These two are too sexy and pretty for their own good.  We'll see what comes of it.

Yay! Consummation!  I understand Aidan's dilemma, but dude...you're not taking advantage of her.  There are rules like that in place because people abuse their positions of power.  You aren't.  But at some point, gotta wonder if your feelinsg for her are worth your position.  You can always transfer, right?  Anyway, I'm glad Collista finally got some lovin'--big girls represent!

LOL, Bana. You know Aidan's anal and over thinks things a bit.  I'm wondering if his past has more to do with his reluctance to get involved with her than he's letting on. 

Yeah, he could always transfer.  This is a one-horse town though with one university, so it may have to be some place entirely different.  Maybe Northwestern.  It's a bigger university, but that might be exactly what he's trying to avoid. 

I'm relieved that Collista finally got her man, too.

I really really really feel bad for Jacob.  I need him to do better; I need him to be the man his wife saw in him and the man his children so desperately need him to be.  I need this to happen because I see a lot of myself in him, actually, and my own family situation.  So...if that could happen that would be great.

I think Nikolai's solution is actually quite brilliant.  I'm not under and delusions this will be the fire Jacob needs to get his act together, but it's a start.  I'm wondering if this relationship could last beyond the five years, with him and Sunshine, that the foundation of it hadn't already been so tainted that there's some Stockholm Syndrome going on here  for there's certainly an imbalance of actual power, even though Nikolai loves her...I think.  Too cloudy.

Anyway, can't wait to see what you come up with next! Great job!

Merry Christmas if you celebrate it and thank you for the update!  I don't know if I liked Nikolai in this one, I just want everything to work out for Sunny and I want her father to get better; I wish Nikolai didn't have to manipulate her father and not help him get well so he could get what he wants, but he's a mobster; he's not a nice person. *shrugs*
