Spencer Edwards is a happy bachelor. He’s got a great job, lives in a great penthouse, and thanks to his good genetics, a fair amount of luck where the ladies were concerned. Family was the furthest thing from his mind, but apparently, life had other plans.

His world is turned upside down when his older sister and brother-in-law die suddenly, leaving their two young children in his care. Spencer can barely take care of himself, and he’s not so sure he should be placed in charge of anyone else.

But a light appears at the end of the tunnel when spirited, no-nonsense live-in Nanny Reese Talbot enters their lives. Through ups and downs and self-discovery, Spencer learns just what it takes to be a Family Man.

 It's the weekend and five students have to share Saturday detention.  They each believe that none of them have anything in common.  By the end of the day they realize that they're each a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess, and a criminal.  The real question, though, is what happens after detention when they go back to their own lives and places in their school?

Tiny, muffled footsteps bounded towards me. Faith stood no taller than three feet which I personally thought was petite for a four-year-old. Most of her cashew nut colored skin was covered by the oversized t-shirt she had draped over her shoulders. I giggled at the disheveled state that her dark brown hair was in. The curls hung loosely and frizzy all around her head; her curls extended at least a foot from her head. I briefly was reminded of Huey Freeman from The Boondocks. Some of her features matched mine exactly and some clearly didn’t. One feature was her big, smoky, blue-green eyes that stared up at me with innocence. They seemed to be framed with a few splashes of freckles. She would probably never know how much her eyes haunted me at times.

Officer David Greenburg is a kind-hearted man with a loving temperament and wholesome family that, in his opinion, could use another addition and the young lady soaked to the bone sitting in front of him seems to be the perfect candidate. David's eighteen year old son is less than thrilled and more than happy to see her go, at least that's what he keeps telling himself.
