Life is hard. James knows this for a fact in which she picked a bad time to quit smoking. Working long days as a housekeeper and taking online college classes just adds more stress. With a troubled childhood and a dark past looming over her shoulder, James is untrusting of others therefore lets very few people into her life.
That is until she stumbles -- literally -- into Tristen, a computer software engineer who won't take 'no' for an answer. He's different, kind, and fun. And French. He wants to get to know her, but will her past drive him away like the others and if he does stay, can he endure damage of her skeletons tumbling out of the closet?
Love this chapter....yes it was hard to read but it gave us a glimspe into what James went through. She's strnger than she thinks and I think she needs to tell Tristan EVERYTHNG.....that man is going to suprise her in a good way : )

Because of what happened to her in her childhood compared to her life as an adult, if she had a choice, she would bury her past six feet under and try to start anew. Tristen is the symbol of a new fresh start for James. but first she has to deal with Pearl and Trigger. Thanks for your review!
Girly this chapter was goooooood!!! Love that James stood up not only for herself but Tristan as well. Pearl got that ass beat....wonder if she'll start to realize how cold her daughter can be. Hope that James will play nurse to Tristan ; ) You are doing an amazing job writing this story as well as Backwoods....your writing is honest and fresh....don't ever stop sharing!!!

Okay woman I was quite surprised but in the best way possible : ) Tristian and James with a tiny person should be interesting to say the least but I know they'll be able to do it together. I know my man will find some way for them to be together because he's not leaving her!! Great update missy and I can't wait to finish this amazing story!!

Tristen is going to have to pull a BIG one surprise for James to even consider going with him to Paris, but there is still a high possibility she isn't going to agree to it! But you're right. Tristen ain't leaving James even if he has to throw her over her shoulder and have her kicking and screaming all the way to Paris, lol! Thanks for your review.

Okay I hope that jerkoff isn't talk to Derek on the phone!!!! Both of those men have a death wish....and I really hope they aren't ploting how to get my girl alone to rape her or anything along that nature....sweet niblets this was good. Loved Kam's inteview and how without a doubt she knows she wants Gianni to be in her life for the long haul....another great chapter honey!!!

Her curly hair pulled up into something he couldn't quite make out in the insufficient light. It had a mind of it's own, he liked to think, always fashionably messy and due to the heat, most days up. Also as most days she wore a tank top of some feather light material and no bra. One of the thin straps teetering on the edge of her shoulder. A skirt, probably vintage, hung on her slim hips and danced just above her knees as she shifted her weight from one bare foot to the other.
Beautiful, confusing, intriguing and it all makes perfect sense(if that makes any sense). Can't wait to read more about these guys.
