Kira Moore just graduated from Boston University with a Biology degree. Her life looked good so far with the exceptions of a troubled law breaking sister and the inability to find a job. So what do these two have in common, besides 11 years of friendship they're technically married, well only technically.

i just read all of this in one sitting; girlie, this is good! i'll write a more detailed review later, but for now, i am absolutely torn! i heart Mod, but Leo is so sweet and kind and smart-assed that i totally heart him too! one question (which will not skew my view on this at all, but): is Roxanne mixed?

She's always thought it strange, that she could never know the entirety of a person that was standing right in front of her. There's always a past: so many memories and decisions and forgotten happenings that she can't help but wonder if anyone can ever really know another person.

i completely understand as a writer how something can feel completely out of your grasp. i write in these forums to free up myself from my more serious projects (my major one dealing with a couple that are former addicts, one for heroin, the other for sex) and even those kinda of stump me at times.
but i think you should challenge yourself to continue this. don't give up on yourself so early! lol i've read your other work and you are brilliant. much, much more skilled than you are obviously giving yourself credit for.
please, please continue.

Life is hard. James knows this for a fact in which she picked a bad time to quit smoking. Working long days as a housekeeper and taking online college classes just adds more stress. With a troubled childhood and a dark past looming over her shoulder, James is untrusting of others therefore lets very few people into her life.
That is until she stumbles -- literally -- into Tristen, a computer software engineer who won't take 'no' for an answer. He's different, kind, and fun. And French. He wants to get to know her, but will her past drive him away like the others and if he does stay, can he endure damage of her skeletons tumbling out of the closet?
i absolutely adored this story. all characters are completely tanglible, the language natural, funny, tense when it needed to be. i'm sorry i missed out on this for so long, but glad i was able to read it all in one sitting. well, two - last night and while at work pretending to work. well done, woman, and i'm excited for the continuation. i want to know how Trigger deals with James' relocation, how Pearl will be affected by it (at Trigger's hands), how Mel fares (love him!), and Xander and Quinn of course. i want them to visit. lol and for the neice? no words. waiting . . .
All of those situations will be dealt with in All of the Lights. The sequel is going to be much longer than LMD because it introduces so many new characters and ties up any loose ends that weren't answered in LMD. :) Thanks!
