I'm a young woman with a non-linear mind--both perfect and hazardous for a writing career. During the summer of 04, I started writing with a professional career in mind. Only instead of writing my own stories first I played in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter for a while. After skipping around to several other fandom (Sky High, Greys Anatomy etc) and doing everything that I could in those fandoms, I decided to work wholeheartedly on my own stories.

Inspiration comes from more writing what I want to know instead of Hemmingway's  "write what you know." Since I have such an inquisitive personality (also shown in my addiction to police procedural shows), my writing reflects that point of view.

Ideas for my stories are more fusion oriented. Even when I try to stick to one category somehow it turns into multiple ones (i.e. the romance-comedy-drama-slasher story) but I try my best to base my stories in realism since life has enough fantasy as it is.

I am a musical muser (i.e. I find inspiration from songs). I feel that songs jump start my stories with the different feelings that are invoked by them. The individual characters are inspired by my favourite actors and actresses no matter where they come from (Bollywood, Korean, Japanese, and Taiwanese etc) and the characteristics of friends. I watch Asian dramas like a fiend so it means that I learn in both a new language and expand my storylines from western concepts to eastern ones as well.

Above all I am a romance writer so I love pairing couples together. Though I love happy endings, I try and make stories with realistic endings no matter how much I want the main characters to be together or apart. I think that mirroring life in that way makes the story more authentic. But then again, happy-right-nows will do too.
