Island Interlude is the story of Gabrielle Hall, a young woman who teaches physical education and K.C. Whitfield an architect who comes to the fictional island of St. Sebastian. They meet and sparks fly but K.C. isn't who he seems and Gabrielle must decide if she can live with who he really is.

Life is hard. James knows this for a fact in which she picked a bad time to quit smoking. Working long days as a housekeeper and taking online college classes just adds more stress. With a troubled childhood and a dark past looming over her shoulder, James is untrusting of others therefore lets very few people into her life.

That is until she stumbles -- literally -- into Tristen, a computer software engineer who won't take 'no' for an answer. He's different, kind, and fun. And French. He wants to get to know her, but will her past drive him away like the others and if he does stay, can he endure damage of her skeletons tumbling out of the closet?
