Takeshiro "Shiro" Inoue is a star catcher in Puro Yakyū, the professional baseball league in Japan until injury forces him out. An old contact with the American Major Leagues has him returning to the States and to Lydia Holmes, one of the best pitchers he has ever faced and his best friend whom he'd met right before he'd started his career. They have been close for eight years, the majority of which had been restricted to online interactions. But now that they are on the same soil, his career isn't the only Shiro is interested in reclaiming.
