Title: Chapter 1: It's not as bad as it sounds

Sigh. Such a lovely story. The voice is so strong, and the descriptions have this quality to them where they suggest a lot without actually saying too much. Kind of like Jessica, actually. 

But my favorite part? "I decided that I loved him too." That she said "decided". I love that it was a choice and not some vague, indefinable feeling that just overwhlemed her.

These are the kinds of stories I love, with surprising little sentences like that and just feeeeeeeeeelings everywhere. And I love love love it when the guy in a het pairing is the one who wants more, and he's all cautious and kind and confused. It's so sweet and so hot! Lol, it just "occurs" to him that maybe he should get some more furniture for her. He's all grumpy and upset she didn't call him, like a puppy who's upset his owner left for a week. I also love how he thinks of it as her giving him a gift, meanwhile he can be supplicant and pliant and obedient enough to give her gifts in return. And great images, as always. Off to read more!

Title: Chapter 2: Maybe this isn't for you

"And there was always paint smeared somewhere on his body. In odd places like his hip or in the center of his back."

Love these descriptions, but I think my favorite parts are when he listens to her and does as she says. Lol, I've been on a bit of a dominance streak lately, and this is all kinds of good to me.  

And Lana. Lana Lana Lana. Ladies like her always get hate for being "bitches" and for not falling at the feet of the men in their lives and being grateful for their love for them, but I've always had a soft spot for them. It's nice to read a story with a woman in it who has these shades to her. Thanks for writing!

Title: Chapter 3: What are feelings even good for?

Ack, you're killing me with the angst! Every little thing is a field of battle for these two. It's like instead of sitting down and talking, they fight over the direction they want the relationship to go in through other things, like sex, and meals. And Lana's not just fighting him, she's fighting herself, too. It's so sweet that what he needs from her is something so simple and so comforting as a meal. Oh, I love these two. She says "It would be very different," and all I hear is a woman who knows how she's fucked up relationships before and for once just doesn't want to do that, just wants something simple, but he hears her words and he's hurt, which is totally understandable. And then she goes and says that rubbish about supporting him and stuff. Smh, the girl is digging her own grave. 

"When have I ever asked for anything from you other than your time?" --and her heart, and her love, and now her respect, too, Lucas. I hope Lana lets go of these standards she has for "the perfect man" soon, because she's hurting him and herself, too.

I'm so dissapointed in the both of them. Lucas for being so petty and callous as to use another person to get at Lana and Lana for being blind and cowardly. But that "I don't know where you live" line, oof, that hurt.
