This story is too real. I understand why it would be hard for Adele to want to be in a relationship with a man who benefits from that white male dominated industry and is indifferent towards how they treat others. I've been there and in the end of the day I couldn't date him. I couldn't respect his indifference and his 'It was my fault.' It's hard to get involved with a colleague in an competitive environment like that. Especially when you're set up to fail. I really liked the guy but I couldn't be with someone when I'm a little ashamed about it. Mainly because he helped and represented the systemic problems. Like Adele I left and went to a place that appreciated my talents and made room for me to grow. Not just use me for my talents. The guy and I didn't end up together because who they represent sadly matters to. Needless to say I totally support Adele being cautious. If Gabriel gets what he wants from her without learning than she is accepting the system.

(That was a long winded review but it hit close to home)

This is deep. Amazing story!!

Mental illness is tough. It's hard to blame Charlie because she was sick. Which is why Alec is taking out all the hurt and pain this has caused on Sean. They honestly need therapy and to not try to fix this alone. Sure, Charlie is "better" now but it's not a good idea to dismiss what happened to her family for the sake of moving forward. They need a professional to help them through that process.

As for their marriage, they need to have some honest conversations. Alec loves his wife but at times holds on too tightly. Charlie just goes with his plans. I can understand why her foster family didn't like the relationship. It might been too intense too soon. But Charlie needs to figure out what she wants and communicate. She obviously wants to do more with her talents. He can't read her mind.

Again, amazing story. I got all the feels.
