I don't know how I missed this story; though short I really enjoyed it. Every now and then I like to read a little mystery and suspense. And damn, Adam Rodriguez is so FINE! I love rare gems where the black heroine is paired with a hot sexy latin(o) man.

Oh goodness I lovveee this story already!! I laughed so much...I love the style of writing....I aboslutley loveee Maxie and living this story through her perspective....she is a hoot to say the least!!
This is very different...first thing I thought of was a modern day Dick Tracey style murder mystery with more flair , sexuality and way more humor!!

I'm enjoying this story! Maxine is a trip. I like Theresa as well. I'mma need for Maxie her to let the police do their jobs, though. Nevertheless, I'll enjoy reading her shenanigans.
Will the young detective be a snag in the romance between Chris and Maxie? He's yummy. Still, Chris trumps yummy detective because he has history.
It's so interesting.....when I read your description of Chris, the first image that popped into my mind was Adam Rodriguez. Lo, and behold, I see his picture as inspiration for the character in the next chapter. Serendipity!

I really don't like Officer Green, he was entirely to hard on her. She did faint, a person who faints when finding a dead body is not capable of killing. I am loving Chris and Chris is loving him some Maxie. Thanks for the new chapter.
