ummm, yeah... this chapter was stunning. Dove took Xavier in hand, so to speak. Bet Xavier has never met anyone like her. Now what will he do? Betray her? or re-think what they have planned?
We're getting a glimpse of the real Dove and damn, what a woman. There's no way that her husband could handle who she really is. How can she stand not living life as her authentic self?
Each update leaves me wanting to read the next one.

Ok, the scene between Dove, Barnes, and Xavier had all kinds of undercurrents going on. What flashed in my mind was the three of them together. Amazing. There is so much to Dove that I don't see why she hasn't gone nuts repressing herself. It would be a full-time job. Hopefully, she'll do what's needed for her own sanity after this is over.

You warned that betrayal would be a part of this story. I read that warning expecting to see Dove betray her wedding vows. I'm okay with that; the marriage isn't working for her at all. But now I'm thinking that Xavier plans to betray her as well. I'm not okay with that. But I'm invested in this story now. I want to see how everything pans out.

The conversation between Dove and Xavier before the handjob was well-crafted choreography- like a tango with words. I was happily dragged into their dance until Xavier's subterfuge was revealed. I felt like *I* was the one being conned rather than Dove. For a moment, the briefest of moments, it detracted from the sensuality of the scene. There will be repercussions, no doubt. But you quickly brought me back to the emotions in play.
I was surprised how quickly Dove moved beyond the question of their sexual possibility (or should I say probability? maybe a better word is inevitability?).
By the time she had him against the bookshelf she stopped wondering/worrying about his attraction to her and transformed into a conquestor, despite the fact that she had not even kissed another man in 10 years much less held a stranger's cock. That was unexpected, considering all that was going on in her head before.
