Title: Preliminary Hearing

Wow so Wren thinks that it is just hero worship for Detective Nix.  It seems like more.  Thanks

Title: Predatory Claim

I just got reallly confused here.  So Wren liked the fact that she was raped by that bastard and now she is allowing the detective to feel her up? Wow.  Thanks

Title: The Battle of Wills

I don't like Detective stick up his ass Nix.  As for Bonner, I hope that he is caught before he hurts Wren.  Thanks for a great update.

Thanks for a great update.  I don't understand with the evidence that Avery had the video feed of Wren tied up that the detective couldn't do anything.  Obviously he doesn't believe the evidence or Avery.  Which is odd since other woman have gone missing in this town.

Title: Wake Up Call

Oh my goodness, the guy that took Wren is such a sick.... To taunt her boyfriend by sending a live feed that Wren has been kidnapped then to call and taunt him even more.  Just wow.  But the crazy dude must be very jealous of the relationship between Avery adn Wren since they both work at the school.  Thanks

Title: Preliminary Hearing

Therapy doesn't seem to helping her, it won't help if won't talk about it.  She may have real feelings the River, however until she is right within herself she shouldn't be in any relationship.  She has been unfaithful to Avery  and he doesn't deserve that.  I can't wait to read more!!

Title: Predatory Claim

Goodness Gracious!  Talk about twists!!! I think it’s great to include her strength to live, and I'm not referring to just the escape necessarily, but day-to-day survival as well - you know - life after if you will.  Marrying the past-and-present as you've done here doesn't feel forced, actually, it's very smart. Loved how Wren's therapy sessions - how she copes with her ordeal, the difficulties she now face with relationships and self-discovery, even the inevitable court proceedings  - cohesively tell her story. And what the HELL is going on with a certain detective?! *raises eyebrows at Scribe*

Title: The Battle of Wills

I felt bad for Avery; he’s going through hell worrying about his fiancé’. And no one’s listening to his plea…but now Nix has no choice but to ‘serve’ with the proof that Avery’s cries are for real! Jerk!

Now this Donner fool is a trip! Diabolical actually. He’s killed several women preparing ‘the one’, right? So what did the preparation consist of…, discovering Wren’s body size and probably what women want so that he could create a ready-made home for his…wife?  He kidnaps his prey, goes to work, conducts his class, comes home – goes through the mail like any normal husband would do then he’s off to ‘greet’ his prize. Urgh! What a sicko! (Are any of those article of clothing Wren’s?) That seemingly cookie-cutter home in the American dream neighborhood is harboring evil behind its closed doors.

Something I noticed that I'm curious about…is the un-sub’s name Bryan or Ryan?  Is it an oversight or is it purposefully planted as a clue? (If so, tricky, tricky Ms Scribe! Lol) Does he have an alter?  Makes ya go hmmm?

i am so happy to see this story back and nicely fleshed out. the scenes are creepier and the characters are even easier to "feel."

I llike the new changes.  Getting more background information on the detective and how this psycho Bonner isplaying a cat and mouse game with the police.  I hope that they figure out soon that Bonner is the killer.  Thanks

Title: Layer by Layer

Avery didn't tell the cops about seeing Wren bound and then receiving the mysterious phone call?!!  How was Bryan able to do that? (He had to have access to her house, wonder if he's taken anything of Wren's?)  Avery must've went ballistic and tore their place up.  I felt so bad for him, he's really in pain and probably scared out of his mind. He needs to compose himself and make those cops listen to him!

Now onto this sicko for a sec...does he have a medical background as well?  He's injected her with...something...obviously he's trained or has access to pharmaceutical drugs. This guy functions relatively well in normal environments and yet he's totally sadistic, why is that? I love a story that makes me think and this Donner jerk...you're doing a great job writing his character Scribe. Update soon.

Avery sweetie an adult needs to be gone for 24 hours in order to be considered missing.  They are wasting valuable time, but you need to calm down.  Maddie is now on your side and will fight the good fight with you.  Great update!!

Title: Wake Up Call

Damn this is good!  I mean, really...good! The suspense is killer! (Pardon the pun.) This psycho makes your skin crawl...sends chills down your spine...I swear it's like watching a movie gurl, for real! The tonality reminds me of Ed McBain's Puss in Boots or James Patterson's Cat and Mouse - though it's been years since I've read both novels, I still remember how maniacal and cunning the elusive un-subs were (there goes my Criminal Minds’ vernacular again lol).  I must give you props to when Wren becomes consciousness – her abductor is there…lurking…watching and then he speaks but she can’t see him!  The descriptive is precise, clean, vivid – to the point of experiencing Wren’s eyes-wide-shut terror yourself! Oh, oh, oh...what about the scene when Avery goes downstairs to hot, freshly-made coffee -thinking his lady-love's there...but then suddenly the TV comes on and he sees her bound to a bed and then the phone rings!!! OMG, classic chilling moment! Awesome writing Scribe, job well done!

Title: Wake Up Call

I know you won't be at the airport waiting, right? Right?! Remember that little plan I spoke of--how you'll be too busy with (if necessary, a pretend) someone else to pick him up?

Author's Response:

No pickup occurred on Monday. He rode the shuttle. However we did spend an excessive amount of time together this week. More closure achieved. Still stinging a little, however it's better. It really is.
