Okay so she was raped, that means that she didn't believe in that his love was strong enough to withstand tragedy. Instead of running to him she ran from him and completely fell apart. Was rapists caught? Is the reason that she didn't tell him about the rape is because she was raped by someone that Ethan warned her about and she didn't listen to him? Ethan is going to be hurt because someone hurt her and she didn't tell him. Dani didn't believe in his love enough or love him to fight through her pain to tell him and stay around.

I´m curious to know what happened....I´m wondering if she was attacked or something. The fact that she went away to stay with family for a while...well the wheels are turning in my head. I love this story but the suspense of what Danica went thru is killing me! What happened to her and why did she leave? It's too early to judge Danica or Ethan for that matter because the facts of what happened is not clear. Yes, Ethan looks like the jilted one, and he probably was, but I have to believe that Danica would not just up and leave Ethan for no good reason. Was leaving her only option out of what she went thru? When she meets Ethan again will she tell him or will she keep it a secret. If she keeps it a secret I am almost certain Ethan will not accept, ' I left for your own good, just trust that I did what I had to.' No, Ethan will want to know why she left him.
This couple is going to need time to heal. Ethan will naturally have resentment towards Danica, but she has to understand that she, as far as what you have written, was in the wrong in leaving without a trace. But, on the other hand, no one wants to be in a relationship with the other person resenting them. So some choices will have to be made and Danica will have to decide if she can tell Ethan the truth and risk his emotional wrath for a while. I cannot wait for the next update.

Whatever happened to her, I wonder why she felt like she couldn't share it with the man she loves and who loves her. Did she think he'd reject her? No matter what her reasons for leaving were, it shows that she didn't trust him to love her regardless and that is why he's hurting so bad. Now he won't be able to trust that she won't run when another situation comes up. Regardless, what she did was selfish because she didn't consider how he would be affected, only how she feels. She woke up thinking about how SHE's missing HIM, not the other way around. Now she tells her mother she's not worthy of him, again she's making it about her and not about him. She's made up in her mind how he'll react without even giving him a chance. That's just not right. She needs to grow up if she really wants a relationship wit this man.
It's going to be interesting to see how she digs herself out of this. Thie first thing she needs to realize is how much her leaving affected HIM and do a hard self evaluation.

This chapter just whetted my appetite for more. :)
I see Ethan's pain and I feel for him. And that it's been 18 months is stunning. It really makes me want to come down hard on Dani, but I'll refrain until I find out more. I guess it's easy to say what she should've done, but when you're in the midst of some kind of turmoil, sometimes, it's hard to think about anyone but yourself, 'cause nothing so far indicates that she thought about what this would do to Ethan.
Dani has a lot of explaining to do and even then Ethan needs to step back a bit. He's an open wound right now. Damn, this is bad all around. I've got my fingers crossed for these two.

I'm sorry but I'm not a big fan of Danni's at this point. I don't know what's the big secret but she seems kind of selfish. It's been 18mos and I think it's revealing that Ethan still refers to her as his fiance. The postcards with "I love you" don't help matters much eitger bc it's like keeping him in a stasis. I'm ready to know what her problem is/was and she should be the one to tell him she's back.

Why did Danica run away? Was she pregnant? They were engaged, I am trying to sympathetic to this little girl but finding out that they were engaged is making it more difficult. Was she raped? That would make her sympathetic once more. Inquiring minds want to know what the dealio is with Danica.
