Her family life was hell, she wasn't abused but she was unloved by her father and mistreated by her brothers. Her mom seemed wonderful but why in the hell did she marry Mikhail?  That man seems to be incapable of love. Did Mikhail kill hiss wife and blame it on his enemies? He is and was evil to Laura.  Nicholi will be causing some pain to her so called family soon.  I want to pull for Nicholi but damn he's a criminal and Laura doesn't need that in her life.  Thanks for the snap shot of her childhood. This story is crack a lacking!

The whole chapter was ver solemn and sad for me but what got me the most was when it said she didn't even cry when her brothers locked her in a flooded basement for 2 days. An ass whipping wouldn't be enough.

This chapter was hard for me to read. The part where she lost her innocence was heartbreaking. To realize that the person who is supposed to teach you what a man is, doesn't want you. That is hard for a little girl, especially, to comprehend. I'm glad she had the love of her mother. I'm glad she's finally  breaking down. And Nic, for some reason, had to get to her at that moment. Her Dad might be badass, but something tells me, he pales in comparison to Nicholi.

I'm enjoying this story. Well done, Chica.

loving this story! laura had me cracking up after reading she thinks Nicholi is gay - where did that come from, lol! i'm not liking the men in Laura's so called family - they are probably going to be a pain when things start to get serious for Laura & Nicholi -_-'

nonetheless i look forward to the rest - thanks for the update! wonder what's going to happen now that Nicholi is at her doorstep ;)

With the greatest respect Orlando Bloom as shown above, looks way too young to be late 30s.  Laura needs a man with a bit more meat on his bones and a more defined facial structure.

I totally agree with you, in this picture he doesnt have the muscle mass to be Nicholi. he looked so ganster so in my head im imagining him older and closer to my ideal
