As much as i want to jump on the 'to hell with Henry' train...after reading this update and sleep on 'it', bc Henry had me so mad I was thinking put the kitten in a box and drop her off at the animal shelter.
Henry knew this girl had issues and still went after her as a knida bet to break her down, but he got caught up in his game, so he panics and pulls a Houdini. Tells her he loves her bc he is drinking and sees Chase touching her. Henry is scared.
Chase knew how Val felt about Henry, bc he focus only on Henry to let his mouth write a check his azz couldn't cover. Glad she had told him he was in the friends only category, prior to the party.
I don't blame Val for running after Henry, bc this conversation will be part of her healing process--and she still loves him. Val is finally learning to love herself and I am so glad she is finally progressing and no longer regressing.
Val needs to clear the air--talk to dad, stop throwing up (ruins your teeth and esophagus), lose weight to be healthier, and lose the baggage of memories of ex and Henry too, if necessary.
Now is the perfect time to give us Henry POV, oh, and welcome back and thank you for a job well done.

This literally gives me life! I. Check everyday to see if there is an update! Anyways i really love val and henry but it seems like they are in headed towards being in anabusive relationship. Two messed up ppl can possibly be good for each other?

Wow! So much pain! I suppose I get why Henry has been trying to protect his heart (though it doesn't me it right). Hopefully Valerie will hear him out, and maybe they can help each other get through what has hurt them so much. Great update! I'm always happily surprised at the direction to story has moved in. I can tell that you've out a lot of thought into your writing. Very eager to read the next installment.

First, I want to say I almost screamed at my desk when I saw this update. lol Anyway, I love Henry but I love Val more. It would be great to see them together but Henry must get himself in order. Please keep writing this story. It is great. Every once in a while I will go back and reread previous chapters. Anyway enough fan girling. Great update.

Seeing an update to this story made me drop my delicious peach milkshake...but it's ok...
Now.. WOW...was SO not expecting Henry to declare his feelings for Valerie like that...and I am SOOO mad that I felt sympathetic for Henry when he deserved a foot up his ass at the same time.
I teared up for both of them, because I know what it's like to fall for someone only to have them drop off the face of the earth for periods of time...it sucks!
I totally get Valerie's visceral reaction, and "sort of" get why Henry feels the need to cut people off at random times, BUT it does not excuse his behavior or the fact that he essentially is messing with a woman's emotions. Henry is going to have to man up, and if he loves Valerie as he says he does, he is going to need to learn to let her in and maybe they can both grow together...
Amazing chapter, full of emotions and desires to kick Henry's ass. Worth the wait!

Holy cannoli, wow, what a great chapter. Back with a bang. God, Henry is so broken that the sad part is Valerie is more together than him. Never thought I would type that. He laid his feelings bare during this. Chase had him coming out of his clothes like the Hulk ready to whoop that ass for touching Val. Ahh Henry you need counseling too. Maybe Val can give you her counselor so number. How they are going to make it, I have no idea but can't wait to get back on this rollercoaster.

I feel bad for Henry, I do, BUT he needs to grow the hell up and stop playing so many games. I know he does this to guard himself, but he's going too far. Val should know she cannot play toe-to-toe with Henry. While, I liked her initial thought to be strong and approach Henry like she was okay, she failed. Honestly, I am sick of Val and Henry, BUT Henry wins. I can understand where Val is coming from and Henry too a little, but he is steadily proving that like Val said, he isn't sh*t. When things start not going how he think they should he LEAVES?? Wow, that little sermon he gave before leaving the house was spot on. HE needs to stay single, because HE is the one that does ALL the LEAVING, and then tries to explain. Val went after her other half? Really? Henry is no one's other half. Yes, she is right she was stupid for following his butt. But the heart wants what the heart wants and for VAL's sake I hope they can work things out, because Henry is too damaged. Val is too with her past, but Val wants to get better. Henry wanted to really talk to Val at the party and my heart hurt a little for him, but then I thought, if he had not seen her at the party how long would it have took for him to acknowledge she was still alive. Another day, week, month, year, years? My softness left for Henry. Only when they happened to be in the same location did he finally want to explain, and hey, I think he did, but really? It took a chance meeting for him to stop being a coward and grow some balls? It looks like Val is about to either get fed yet another line if Henry is still in his pretending mode. These two. I love it though!!!
