Title: 24 HRS - 12 noon (9/6/2008)

Not much I can say about this chapter because like the last time the details went right over my head. Lol but it's an important chapter just  the same. Looking forward to the next chapter. I will say that I love that Sienna has Jay in her corner even though he too doesn't know the whole Sienna, like John he gets pieces of her. But they have a common ground and that is what makes them have this very important friendship.

Title: Daddies and Little Girls

Even though nothing really changed in this chapter. I still love when John is with his girls. I mean lets be really both John and Sienna made promises and kept secrets and until both are ready to deal with their relationship, then saying you want to have a talk regarding the past now doesn't really mean you are ready for it. As always a great chapter. Looking forward to the next one.

Title: 24 HRS. 10am (9/7/2008)

I swear the one running theme that both Sienna and John seem to do is jump to conclusions without the facts. They assume the worse because somewhere deep inside them they use it as a protective mechanism. But in reality the only thing it does is push them away from each other because basically that is where they want to be. Like Sienna said, "he got through her walls." He penetrated the walls that she built up do to the other assholes in her life. But the one thing I find very interesting is the fact that she let Bryan have a voice whereas she won't give one to John. She would rather lump him in with the other assholes that listen to him, because if she were to listen to him, she would have to open a door that she so badly wants to protect but at the same time let him in. It's funny it's like a game of tug-a-war and at the end of both side is Sienna and in the middle is John. She has concluded that the asshole side has won but the she loves him side aint given up. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Hmm interestng point with Bryan but Sienna needs someone to be angry at to keep her distracted from delving too far into her head and heart. John's guilt pushes him into a corner to passively accept whatever Sienna dishes out. But Sienna is not stupid, she doesn't want to push him away too far so she avoids the conversations and is somewhat careful in her outburst to not hit those raw nerves throughout the four years of their marriage.

Thanks for reading

Title: Pink Bottoms

This walk through  memory lane reaffirms my thoughts about these two- they were meant to be together. From the first moment their eyes locked, it was game on  and even now as their drama is beginning to kick into high gear, it remains affirmed that they belong together. They're each other's perfect foil.

Now, time to delve into the messy valley that is John and Sienna :D.

Excellent chapter!

Author's Response:

Memory Lane indeed.

Thanks for reading.

Title: The Beginning

I liked this chapter because it shows a less cynical Sienna. Even though she's already been through enough bull to last her the rest of her life, she's still that innocent doe eyed teenager that's going to blend in. Her thirst for  information and her ability to siphon out the crap is what endears me to her ( it's only when she begins to stand steadfast behind those blasted walls that she pricks my nerves). She's self assured, especially in this arena of her life. She's positive and refreshing. No wonder she caught a certain someone's eyes.

Great chapter!

Author's Response:

I love it that you pinned her almost perfectly.

Yes no wonder...LOL but Sienna would like to believe it was something more physical.

Thanks for reading

I loved it on the first go around and on the second trip is just as enjoyable. I had to psych  myself up to get back to these two; their opposing walls and defiant barriers do tend to work on a nerve. But this chapter was full of passion, dangerous passion and the beginning of such a tumultuos ride.

Excellent work, as always!

Author's Response:

Yay! Welcome back to the bumpy ride.

Thanks for reading and taking the time out to leave these reviews the second time around.

Muchas Gracias

Title: Just Go to Bed

I have always loved this chapter because of Olivia and her story time. Their Princess is truly the peace keeper of their family she is particularly the glue that welds them together but she isn't what keeps them together. Even if they can't admit that they love and need each other deeply. Stubborn is the name of the game in the Grayson house hold. John trying to say, "I'm sorry" those words hold a lot more meaning then just their last fight. Sienna is having an emotional break from the reality that is her life. She is slowly dying because of the secrets she carriers but so is John. But I am glad she has a friend like Jay that can be her support system to the secrets that he knows she holds. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

That little munchkin grows on you heehee and yes those two little words are loaded.

Aww you dong a 180 on Jay but sometimes I wish he would lose his cool and just tell Sienna about her business.

Thanks for all your reviews and yes I will unashamedly point out you skipped over Chapter 12 Pills... :D

Title: A Day’s Hard Work

I loved this chapter because you could see and feel how much they loved each other and the fact that Sienna was pregnant. They were almost on the same page but both of them have a lot of guilt regarding the unspoken words. It's like they are watching their own happiness play out but instead of grabbing for it they grab for the shield that will protect them. Sienna wanting to go up stairs and talk to John was the right option but will she do it is the question??? My guess is no because she has to build those barriers back up so that she can protect herself. Those moments when Sienna and John are at peace are my favorite times Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

You know damn well stubborn ass Sienna is not going up those stairs. The mountain must come to Sienna not the other way around. Sienna hasn't been motivated yet to break her habits so undoubtedly the walls will be right back up.

Glad you liked it. Plenty more chapters to come today

Title: The Question of Birth Control

Lol, I don't know how you can say that nothing really changed in this chapter. A whole lot changed. We see John not only thinking he is trapping Sienna back the. But how he and Peach Fuzz have an understanding a bond that seems to calm him in away. Princess being a "spy" for her mother is new as well but Princess holds that cards when it comes to her family she wields a power thAt neither John nor Sienna understand. I love how even now when John thinks about his life or his children it brings a calm over him. While he is too busy trying to figure Sienna out without showing his humans the one and most important thing to both he and Sienna are their children. Too made that energy spent on making their children happy can't spread to them making themselves happy instead of always having to maneuver around like a chess match, when they truly just want each other. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Ok geez I stand corrected but nothing major in terms of clues and early reveals. With the Peach Fuzz thing I kind of hinted as much throughout the many chapters and as to Princess being a spy I'm not sure if you remember, when John was in the bathroom he stated he needed to get Princess on his side before Sienna di in order for his plans to progress. And rememeber her telling on Peach Fuzz about spilling the purple stuff on Grandma. Lol yes Princess does wield a tremendous amount of power. I wonder what's going to happen to even out that dynamic when the new babies get there or even Isabella.

I agree too bad but eventually I think they will work it out

Title: A Split Decision

Nothing really changed in this chapter but the emotion of what John feels and how he has hurt, keep secrets, and lied to Sienna. I think for some reason even though the words didn't change the tone did. It's like I can feel John agonizing about all the decisions he has made. It's like wanting to change things, knowing you should change it, but a fear keeps you tied to the choice that you made even though sometimes you wish you had done things differently. The more time that both John and Sienna have time to think and be in their own heads the more their is this need to say, do, or try to understand but failing at it because they keep quiet, stew in their own heads, and make rash decisions without thinking about the consequences. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Oh thank you for this review...I think I managed to get what I intended across. You keep me on track.

And yes for two very rational people when it comes to their professional lives they throw that out the window when it comes to each other, when it comes to love.

Thanks as always

Title: Not This TIme

I was enjoying Sienna's fantasy very much so. I see nothing much really changed in this chapter but I must admit these two crack me up they do and say something and then they wait for the other to respond with a type of consequence. It's almost like when my anxiety gets the better if me, it's at that point I feel most alive. Both Sienna and John seem to not be able to breath until there is a shit storm of words being thrown at them. He doesn't want her to take the morning after pill but at the same time she is thinking about the possibility as if its possible but she doesn't want John to know that. It's a power struggle of not only wills but love. They so don't know how to talk to each other when it comes to the words of the heart. One step coward three steps backwards. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

I guess you could say that. It's like they can't function without the chaos.

LOL yes one step coward and three steps backwards.

Thanks for reading

Title: Moral Compass

The game of cat and mouse was hilarious. I mean they were both checking each other out and didn't really realize it until their eyes connected. Sienna trying to figure out what side to be on was a very interesting concept because I think one doesn't always have to agree with their political perty but they themselves have to determine where they want to fall. Its like the difference between religion and state or a choice over who has a right to make a choice when it comes to a woman's body. Either way John and Sienna might not have been on the same side but the were essentially fighting for the same thing. Its why they bonded its why they feel in love and its why they hide from each other. I love the fact that you are giving Sienna and John more of a face as to how they met and they things they did to be around each other. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Oh wow I'm so glad you picked up my inference. Yes indeed at the core she may be loyal to her party, to Tom, to Bruce, to Jay but she does not always agree with their stand, their actions, their beliefs on certain issues. Loyalty is something that is valued above all in their world but the moment John entered the picture she began to question that loyalty?

Is it better to abstain from a fight because either side you pick will negatively affect someone? Is it better to ignore certain things and accept in other aspects for fear of upsetting the balance?

As a staffer she does not always get to be on the side of the fight that marries her ideals but if we understand the reasons to fight why would you ever choose to sit on the sidelines. It is a job that you must do, a responsibility that you must now shoulder because you are aware of the issue and cannot morally turn a blind eye to it.

They were no longer numbers and charts in her polling data and field reports, Sienna realized they were real people with real issues. More responsibility than she ever thought she would have to face and a greater opportunity for her to help, to effectuate change in a set of laws and rules she felt that did not protect her enough and shaped Bryan into an asshole.

I'm giving away too much in my ramblings but oh well

Title: Back to the Beginning

Sienna trying to get back at John for Lying to her was priceless. I liked how Tom and Bruce figure into Sienna's life. It's like having two very important men in your life for different reason, one you look up to because you seem to be more like him in ways that might not be the best for you. And the other to not only keep you grounded but honest at the same time. I am truly enjoying how everyone fits into Sienna's life. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

I love how you evaluated Bruce and Tom's role in her life. One she epitomizes because he has no regard for conformity. They share that secret joke to never judge a book by its cover because lurking behind their cold exterior is a beautiful mind. In Bruce, she sees its somewhat ok to just be yourself and as you said the other to keep her grounded. But Tom is also a reminder that she still lives in a soceity whose rules are superficial and she is a player in a game that has far reaching consequences outside of her own little world. She wishes to exert that part of herself that is similar to Bruce but realizes the more responsible and well adjusted adult is Tom. So she tries to find a balance between the two.

Thanks as always

Title: A Sense of Happiness

I must say I am truly liking the flow of the story Sienna and John both don't seem as tightly closed off as they were in the original. Don't get me wrong I loved the original but this one truly feels different maybe it's the added details that are making it flow a lot differently then the original story. Anyway I loved how John is whistling to a song that brings back memories for the both of them. Him getting Sienna a new pair of sweat pants was cut. Both over thinking this situation but both feeling something as well. They may try to hide from each other but they truly understand each other in a way that makes their lack of communication not only understandable but helps one to understand their motives in every thing they do. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

It may be the added details but I think its also a little of the fact that you have been spoilt because you already have an idea of whats to come. So things that may have stood out to you before and you then glossed them over are making sense now that you have re-read it. All the same I would like to believe the removal of the elipses and the elaboration of the 'Sighs" did it.

I think you got Sienna pegged but John still has something up his sleeve.

Thanks as always for reading.

Title: Possibility

Sienna talking to a "possibility" was too cute. She and John so need to talk more and act first less. He wants to keep her needy and knocked up and she wants to have an advantage over him so that he will stay. Funny if these two just talked about what they want instead of dancing around each and every subject they would be better off. But are in politics and can talk their way around a circle but its so interesting that these two people have the hardest time communicating with each other. I wonder why that is??? Hmmm could it be because they fear the other one will use their secrets against them?? I think that is part of it and the other part is about control. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

I think you are hitting it on the nail with their desired outcome for their actions. Yes if they did just talk they would be better off but then I wouldn't have a story to tell LOL I agree at some point they do need to.

DING! DING! It is that question of why that remains to be answered for both of them that will hopefully clear up their lack of communicating with each other behinds. Its a combination of factors but you did hit on some key points and in particular you were onto something with the abandonment issue from the past and how it affects both of them.

Title: Pink Bottoms

I have to say this was a great chapter of John/Sienna/Jays first meeting if each other. John having to decide on what he wanted to do with his life since he was being discharged was an interesting beginning. Sienna playing him along with Jay was a very nice touch. Back to the present Sienna realizing that they didn't use protection was priceless. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Yes I loved writing this chapter and even more editing it. It was entertaining all the way through.

Title: The Beginning

Sienna's interactions with Tom and Jaheem always have intrigued me because with all the assholes that have been have life she truly depends on their opinions. They play a major role in her life and that makes for a very interesting tale because these men play a role that is very important to her. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Hmm. I like your observation. With Tom, I think its compensation for what she lacked from her own father. She idolizes him to fill that gap and with Sienna as it is deep down with her own father she did not want to be a disappointment to them. The same can be said for Jay, he was there and he's been there for her despite it all and she never wants anything to change that least of all his opinion in her.

But although she struggles with who she really expresses. The little parts of her that she fights to keep buried always finds its way out and you can clearly see that in her all over the place personality.

I don't know how I feel about the rewrites but I will enjoy this story no matter how many times you rewrite it. With that said Sienna and John are one of my favorite couples because their dysfunctional marriage is something that they both seem to needed even when they are fighting so hard to deny it. John love Sienna and deep down Sienna loves John, even when he is distant because what she really wants is him. It's so hard for them both to say the words but then they missinterrupt each others actions. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

took a while to read this story the first time because it was such an attention to detail story but i will read it again because i do want to know how it ends. It was fun the first time because it took so much thought but mabey this time i will see the things i missed the first time. Thank for you dedication to your work

Author's Response:

Thank you for graciously taking the time to write this review. Lol yes my over-complicated self did weight too much of my writing on the details. Although I hope to keep that adventure hidden inside my story for you to dig a little deeper trying to find the clues, I've somewhat made it a little less chaotic.

As to the ending, I still haven't written it yet. Due to the tides of life, I had to take a break and unfortunately I neglected to jot down my plot bunnies as I'm usually plotting three to four chapters in advance.

But alas thank you for reading.
