Title: Chapter 10

I reread this chapter again and it occurred to me that Roddrick is a strong person. She has experienced domestic violence, physical and psychological abuse by a father who basically disowned her. She fled her childhood home, overcame obstacles in school and college, waylaid her personal life to care for her family and despite these challenges, she hasn’t drugged-out, tricked-out or checked-out of life; instead, she has maintained a semblance of normalcy and stability. Sure Roddrick struggles with the matters of the heart with frustration and attitude, what female hasn’t? Yet she doesn’t cower to adversity- she just doesn’t have time for bullshit. Roddrick worries too much about everything…absolutely…but never runs from responsibilities; her only weakness is Milo (lol)…dude just does it for her, overloads her emotions ‘cause hey...she’s got a love jones for the man. Perhaps she’ll deal with Milo and an unplanned pregnancy as most strong-willed women in her situation do: the best way that she can.

Title: Chapter 10

Thanks for the new chapter, but yep, don't like the pregnancy bit at all. Especially after several "false alarms". UGH! Why, oh why ??? If it weren't for the good writing...ARGH! Also, I am a bit tired of Roddrick being so angry at everyone all the time. I know she has good reasons, especially due to her childhood. And Brian cheated on her. And Milo...well, said some stupif shit. But all this anger and being mad at practically everyone is just that, tiring. I like the character, I like how independant she is (that is one of the reason why I don't like this pregnancy bit), but really it is hard. And now I dread even more gloomy stuff now...

Oh no indeed!!!! It would not be the norm for a woman of colour to have an easy life/relationship especially with an attitude like the "angry black woman" a chip on their shoulder full of angry and hurt, brought on by their past. Roddrick is just that. I don't know why but most of the stories whether on this site or others with regards to women of colour have the same set scenario angry or weak or both. I wonder is this a reality insight.  But hey I love ready your story regardless of my rant lol.

Title: Chapter 10

YES! I'm so glad things went down the way they did.  I'm so not into the bullshitting and the beating-around-the-bush type angles: Milo not finding out he's a father until his kid in dentures! Or some such other nonsense.  It is what it is.  When two people hook up, especially the way Milo and Roddrick did...sometimes seeds bear fruit. It will be interesting to see how they - Milo and Rodderick - handle the reality of their child they created.  Not saying that these turn of events will bring them together, however, they definitely have a long road ahead of them and they need to talk, really talk, and Roddrick needs to stop running.

Lauren is so blinded by Milo's past, she can't see what's so crystal clear in front of her face.  Even Brian noticed.

Brian!  Really!?

Anyhoo, thank you for 'penning' such intriguing story.  I very anxious to see what happens next with our non-couple/couple.

Great job
