Richard is waste of space! I really wanted Ant to beat Richard's ass! What did Richard do with denying that Nat knew about Ant's true parentage? She said that she didn't know until she was looking through the divorce paperwork. Don't like that man! Poor Rich may have ruined his chance to reconnect with Ant.

Nat didn't know Richard wasn't Ant's father until she found the papers. She told Ant as much, but Richard didn't know that. Ant pretended she hadn't to see how far Richard was willing to go to ruin his and Nat's relationship. By denying that Nat knew about Ant's parentage, Richard was attempting to preserve the relationship, meaning he really does care about one or both of them. Anthony didn't make any assumptions about whom.
Rich has definitely set himself back with Ant, but they'll eventually figure it out. Thanks Pmgayles!

Whoo, a relief that Natalia finally let Anthony know that she knew about Richard not being his father, and him not erupting into a ball of rage thinking she willfully betrayed him to the extreme he imagined. But I'm also happy that Anthony knows who is real father is, that he's a writer that they share that connection, and most importantly, that he knows his father's name. Maybe this will inspire him to try to find him, reach out, start a connection, and hopefully his real father is still living.
So despite how everything unfolded at least some good came out of it. Anthony knows his father wanted him in his life, did what he could to fight for his parental rights, but at the same token it still pales to what Ant went through during his child and adulthood with Richard punishing him for what his trecherous wife did, and leaves the door of "what if" open, but in the long run he has a place to start to try to recoup the years the both of them missed. And who knows, Ant may believe he lost a family, but could potentially gain a new one especially if his dad fathered more children, has sisters and brothers of his own, uncles and aunties.
That's a lot to take in absorb for Ant. Lovely chapter!!

That whole revealing her betrayal could have very easily gone a different way. But things happened just so. Rich unknowingly taking one for the team, the pregnancy, and Ant's past mistakes made it easier to forgive.
Yeah, Ant's going to struggle a bit with that "what-if". The only thing worst than suffering is knowing you didn't have to. And there is a good chance Ant has family out there, either nuclear or extended. But finding out what happened to his father may not be the happy ending some are hoping for. Maybe. More on that in upcoming chapters.

Can I just...put out a hit on Rich Sr, lol. Of course he wants to paint Natalia as the scandalous "whore" while willfully omitting A HUGE part of the story like the fact they were married and HE kept that a secret from his family, not Natalia. I really, honestly hope he and Mercede get busted out on their tails, I honestly do.
And the rest of the judgmental Talericos...I have nothing nice to say about the lot of them. I sucked my teeth, rolled my eyes that hardly anyone wanted to come to a woman's rescue that they saw being physically manhandled, and that it had to take an old lady to momentarily break things up. They are no better than anything Natalia has done. No better.
Anthony and Rich Jr better start swinging fists. I mean it. Can Natalia think about her comfort, stress levels, and the possible baby she's carrying and return to Texas? Let Ant finish up those loose ends on his own. She's done more than what most would do when they are pointedly aware they aren't welcomed. I couldn't imagine staying in that hostile of an environment and letting folks wage a mental war on me. I know Natalia is handling it because obviously she slid on her big girl drawers, but really there's but so much disrespect anyone should be subjected to. Loved this chapter. Got my blood pressure up.

Richard's family is a mess, and he's a direct product of it. Ass kickings are deserved by all. Unfortunately (and fortunately if you're the wrong doer), people don't always get the comeuppance they deserve.
Nat and Ant will extract themselves from the foolishness, but will be carrying the emotional baggage for weeks to come. More on that in upcoming chapters.

So it seems Anthony isn't the only one scarred by Richard and Mercedes. Rich had had enough of Mercedes and in the heat of the moment revealed the truth about her. I know Ant is upset but I hope he realizes his brother needs him. He made have found out that he is not Talerico, but Rich had to live with the fact that his selfish, self centered mother destroyed his family. Rich's pain is as real as Anthony's and it explains a lot about him. Mercedes makes Barbara look like a saint. I hope that Nat is pregnant. That child would be a blessing for them and Rich as well as a dagger in both Mercededs and Rchard's hearts.

Wow this was one very powerful and heartfelt chapter. Rich feeling like a wondering soul made me truly feel for him because even though he has tendencies to be douchey at times he was protecting his brother from not only the truth but then had to reveal Otto protect him from the mother that loved a man more than her own son.
Then you have Natalia stuck within the middle trying to give Rich hope of a relationship with his brother and best friend. But also needing and wanting to be their for Ant. I love the fact that she was honest and told him that she knew and that she wanted him to know but thought it was Richards truth to tell. Ant might have been angry with her but she had a point it was his parents responsibility to tell him and those two fools failed him.
Ant needing time to digest what Natalia had told him had me holding my breath but when he let her hold him and he began to open up about the man that was his father, I knew he had made progress in the right direction. How could Mercedes not keep those things for Anthony? Because let's be real she and Richard surely didn't last too long and Anthony had a right to those letters. I'm not sure I want to know what happened to Anthony's bio dad because that's just another loss for him to handle.
The end scene where he wasn't going to sleep without hearing Natalia loved him was something he will need for a while to know that he is loved. And like Natalia I pray there is a baby and that Richard didn't take another person away from Anthony to punish him for his mother and his own sins.
looking forward to the next chapter not looking forward to the end of this amazing story.

Ant is in a bad way right now, but so is Rich. The two of them really need each other, but until amends are made, Nat will have to be their shoulder to cry on. Now that she's earned at least tentative forgiveness from Ant, she can do that.
The least Mercede owed Ant was saving those letters. If she was worried about Richard finding out (though she shouldn't have been) she could have had them sent to a P.O. box and maybe kept at a friend's house. Then again, she would have had to think about something other then herself and her own selfish needs to do that. She is the absolute worst.
The fate of Ant's dad remains a mystery. And you're right, it could very likely be another loss for him to suffer.
Ant is going to need a lot of emotional support. Question is, will he accept it? More on that next chapter.

Not only that, but the fact that his real father fought so hard to be a part of his life makes Merced just as bad, if not worse than Richard. I wonder if he'll try to meet his dad. I hope so. Oooooooohhhhh, this chapter made me so mad. I am furious!! Really Mercede? She bold face told him that she didn't care about his emotional abuse. I was thinking maybe in her head she thouht she was doing the right thing but she not only allowed her child to be abused, she kept him from his real father. Are you kidding me? This woman (and I use that word lightly with her) needs to be kicked right in the vagina. I was thinking that maybe Ant could eventually forgive her but screw her. I hope he never forgives her. Cut her ass off. At this point, she's an even bigger villain than Richard. Could you please show her getting her comeuppance? Pretty please with sugar on top? Richard's too. I don't know how Thomas will react to this news or whether he will still treat Anthony like a brother but he kind of sucked too so he can go to hell too, but please let Anthony eventually forgive Rich. Maybe Nat can foster that between them because they may not be related by blood, they are brothers. All those Talericos need to go to hell, but I have a feeling Mercede will feel their wrath, not for what she did to Anthony. They don't give a dame about Ant but they will turn on her because she betrayed Richard, and Richard is one of their own. I hate these people so much and these aren't even real people. But you have a way with words that brings these characters to life.

(LOL, yep, not giving up on the twin thing, I would ask for triplets but I don't want to push it, lol) I hope he is able to establish a loving relationship with his father and maybe his father has other children Ant could meet and his new family is welcoming and loving and welcomes Natalia.
I hope every house inhabited by a Talerico burns down to the ground( except Rich of course). I hope Mercede gets what's coming to her. I hope Richard loses all his money on the stock market. I hope the cousin who called Natalia a racial slur gets beat up by a bunch of brothas and the brothas get away with it. I hope they all suffer and get really bad halitosis. I hope they repell everyone who comes in contact with them, while Anthony and Nat continues to prosper. Fuck the Talericos. May their pasta never taste good again.

This was a very emotional chapter you could just feel it as you read. His mom I just can't like how could she be so selfish,self centered & judgmental as to keep him from his real father who wanted him, subject him to the scorn & rejection he endured from Richard because she loved him. & never tell him who his real father was & the lengths he went to to get him until she was exposed.

His incubator is evil and deserves nothing unhappiness for the rest of days. Like so many woman she put a man over her child, but when a bitchhas an affair with a married who has kids one can't be surprised. Rich knew all the time and tried his best to protect Ant because his mother was a useless cow! I hate to this story end because I have enjoyed cheering for my favorite characters and loathing Richard, Barbara and the incubator. Update soon please!

Ant will forgive RIch bc he is his brother, blood or not. I hope he can find out if his father is still alive and at least he can take some comfort that the man did everything he could to get him, until Richard had him deported.
Why did Rich Sr choose to keep a boy that he knew was not his? Why not give him to a man who wanted him; Mercedes would have chosen Sr over her son, even then?

The fate of Ant's father is iffy. His sudden and extended silence doesn't bode well for him being found alive or at all.
Richard chose to keep Ant from David because if he'd allowed them to have a relationship, then he would have had to admit to the world and his judgmental, unforgiving family that the woman he broke up in his marriage and family over had a baby for another man. And Richard undoubtedly wanted to punish the man his wife cheated with. It's all about ego and revenge with Richard. Nat can attest to that.

Anthony is a REAL MAN, I hope he gets to meet his real father soon. Anthony and Rich relationship is a little off right now, but i will rather know the truth any day then continuously living a lie. I'm a little surprise his mother told him the truth, because she was stuck on stupid for so long. We always tell the man to man up, Women old or young needs to WOMEN UP and GROW THE HELL UP. Please, let his father be alive and waiting for him even after those years. Maybe Pop-Pop kept Ant's real father up to date because I'm certain that he knew that his grandson was not his blood but loved him even more knowing that one day he would find out. Maybe his grandfather a letter left, to be opened after he passed telling Antony everything his parents did hide from him and how to get in touch with his father.
