Well he tried to keep his cool and not hurt her feelings but she wouldn't shut up and now her feelings are all hurt. If a dude tells you from the jump that you are only a f*cktoy don't get your hopes up that your pu$$y is somehow different and will get him on lockdown. Obviously Gwen he has been putting it to you for awhile and he still wasn't committed to you. Now the question is what is this dumb girl about to do to Charlie or Reese. How old is she? I need to re-read in case I missed it. Reese is very clear about his feelings. He does not beat around the bush. I like that.
I'm hoping she doesn't run hot and cold with him. We'll see. But then again, he is a stranger. They've known each for a minute, and I use "known" loosely.
Waiting to see how this plays out.It'll be interesting to see the town's reaction when or if they become a couple.
I'll try not to be a nuisance, but this is so good, I want updates, all day, every day. hee

Thanks so much for your review! I know it's frustrating when one minute she's all into it and the next she's crying and telling him to leave. But Charlie is hard to understand. She's never had a man in her life before so she doesn't know how to act or what to do. She's scared of falling in love.

Charlie you are really stupid, Reese is no longer a stranger you broke ke bread with him. Hell he fixed yoir car. Charlie is running scared from her intense attraction to that fine Reese. I'm glad you enjoy Reese as much as I do haha! And Charlie isn't necessarily stupid, she's just not as easy as all the other girls I'm sure Reese is used to. Charlie's been an orphan and had to work extra hard to be where she is so she never really had time for a personal life, and so she's not trying to jump in bed with the first gorgeous guy she meets.

I love this already, I like Charlie and I'm glad she's giving him a hard time. Make him work for it, because it shouldn't be that easy to get the goods especially, in that racist ass town. I can't wait to read more, update soon.

NO! Charlie do not need to 'stop assuming things' mainly because she is living in a very racist town where she knows no one. it is very practical to protect one self in situations like this. The fact that Reese is getting offended because she is not giving him the time of day is very insensitive and insulting. he needs to be a little more understanding and work hard to prove himself to be a good protector for Charlie in this racist back ass ward town!

Thanks so much! I agree with you that Charlie should stop assuming things but considering all of the factors that make her uncomfortable, (attractive male, racist town) she thinks it's easier to protect herself by assuming the worst of things.

I understand your frustrations but since she is bee uncomfortable and vulnerable in her new surroundings, she has her guard up completely and it's extremely difficult for her to trust a white male that's interested in her when she's surrounded by racist people that despise her.
