I'm so excited I clicked on this story! It's fabulous and the writing is so smooth and natural. It doesn't feel forced at all. I'm excited to see where this goes. Clearly Gracie and porter are going to get back together. With the help of poppy. The fiancé will hate poppy from the almost get go! Haha anyway update soon!! xD

I don't care if she feels she missed her childhood, Grace has no right subjecting her CHILD to worry and anxiety over whether or not her mother is too drunk/high to be left alone or needs medical attention.  And Poppy is just now 14 so it seems this has been going on for years.

And Grace's excuse for not telling Porter about the pregnancy, or Poppy about her Dad of not wanting Poppy influenced by the drinking, drugs etc of Porter's lifestyle seems a bit hypocritical since she brings a measure of that into her own house (or at least the results of it) and exposes Poppy to it--up close and personal.

As for Porter/Grace: if she was a model at 15, where were her parents?  How did she even meet Porter?

The statements hit all the right notes. Now, let's see how it REALLY goes down. This is about to be messy. 'cause reality always is. I hope that Poppy and Porter are able to bond in all this mess. Will his family really accept her? Should be interesting. Also, can't wait to see what the fiancee REALLY feels.

I don't care how many excuses Grace has, she has a responsibility to Poppy. She whines about her childhood, what about Poppy's? Trust, cleaning up a drunken parent on the regular is no fun for a kid. Grace needs to get her act together.

I like grace she's scared from her past relationship with porter but she still managed to take care of her daughter. I'm happy she told Porter Poppy is his so now her child can know her father. The only thing I just wish she would move on she let what happen with Porter control her whole life It's been almost 15 years and she still stuck in the past was she waiting for Porter to come back in her life again.

Grace you piss me off so much! Where were her parents? That was statutory rape not a relationship and some adult should have noticed. What was wrong with Porter?  She was child and he was already hoing around with groupies.  Grace is still stuck on stupid,  tell the child what she deserves to know!  She named her child Poppy, was she on drugs back then too?  At least the name doesn't start with a Qua or a Sha.

I can't stand Grace, but I bawled throughout this chapter. I hope it's more a story of the development between Poppy and Porter. Grace is just..blech to me right now. Please continue.
