Poor Adaline. Its seems tough being a Lang. There so color struck.  In-perfrection is not accepted. Addy just does not fit the mold.

Dear sweet Aunty, seems... so distant. To blame Addy for almost being rape is cruel.

Why do I not see the so-called “genetic disadvantages” you talk about in Adaline Lang’s picture? Because she is effing beautiful, that’s why.  Please make Adaline a gorgeous woman who knows black is beautiful. I rarely see stories like that on this site.

I know already that I don't like Victoria. It makes me wonder though what kind of a relationship Victoria had with her sister to treat her child the way she does; Adaline's origins?


Adaline seems to have the ability to put Carla in check when she goes too far. And Carla is a pathetic, shallow mess. Ughh!


I love the hearing impaired with the implants dynamic! Gives the story richer dimension.

I'm excited for this! I already love Adaline and I especially love that she has a hearing disability. It's not too often you come across stories about people with disabilities as the main character, so I'm excited to see her journey. And for the record, loathe Carla and her pettiness and self-absorption, and her heartless mother for victim shaming Adaline. SMH at those two. Wonderful job! Hooked already!

I am so excited for this story!! I am a speech therapist and have several kids with cochlear implants and I absolutely adore them, so I know I will love Adaline. However, like another reviewer said, I hope this isn't a story about being dark skinned and her not loving herself. The hearing impairment adds a different dimension to the story. Her cousin is a ridiculous being, that I'm sure is going to backstabor embarass her during the reception. Hopefully, she'll make friends with Sasha and soon. I am eagerly anticipating the next chapter. Update soon!!

I can already tell Carla's stank attitude is going to get on my nerves.  I have a feeling though that Maybe Carla is he one he supposedly dumped Adeline for but I don't believe it. He rejected Carla because he was in love with Adeline an Carla probably lied because she's the jealous on. Sounds like her cousin is getting married because the guy is rich. Hope he doesn't lose his job or ele she's going to dump him faster than he can blink an eye. Can't wait to read more!!!

This story is going to be off the chain. I already feel empathy for  Adaline, this woman has been through hell and back. Plus a family from hell. Smh!  I hope thee story has so really happy points and even  happier ending..
