Can we please smack ava rains grandmother please. I don't care if it would not be good for appearances it would make me feel so much better. Ugh I still don't like that woman almost as much as I dislike Jennifer. Declan shows up in the next chapter right. Speaking of Declan can I have him please with sugar on top. Wow Gladys is one cold woman  but I'm going to go out on limb and say that her cold deminer was caused by her daughters death and that there is some part of her that actually cares for Ave-Rain, I don't know maybe. Also there's something thing I need clarification on. seeing as Caleb was so insistent on Ave-Rain to stay with him or at least kasey did he some how sense Ave-rains rocky relationship with her grandmother or was it his over protective nature over her seeing as she is his mate. Hope that makes sense. Any who great chapter I don't have any more nails to bite off waiting for an update lol also can't wait for the next update of moonrise things are getting heated yikes.keep up the good work ;-)

Yes, she definitely is! But I think you might be right. Gladys lost her only child, and you'd think having Ava-Rain would have helped her deal with that loss, but it might have only made the loss worse because Ava-Rain was sort of like a constant reminder of her daughter. But I think, in her own way, she does care about Ava-Rain. She is her only grandchild, after all. . .even though she did just kick her out, lol.

As for Caleb's insistence on having Ava-Rain stay at the condo, it was definitely a bit of both. The moment he made the choice to actually accept & acknowlege Ava-Rain as his mate (he very briefly explains this in Chapter Three), he immediately became 'linked' to her. So it's very possible that he may have 'sensed' her unease over returning home through their 'connection', and if he did, then asking her to stay was definitely him being protective over his mate as well.

Glad you enjoyed the chapter! Lol, I tried to edit it & get it out ASAP, but I swear I'm such a procrastinator-aka super lazy-when it comes to editing. But Part ll is almost ready to go, so it should be up pretty soon. As for Moonrise, the next chapter will HOPEFULLY be up some time this week if I stop slacking long enough to finish it, lol.

LOL....nothing to forgive, doll! Its your story and you do what you need to do with it. Period. But I am glad its back :)

I honestly couldn't really get into Moonrise because I wanted to see this story to completion first. Its irrational and crazy; and possibly a little immautre...lol...but that how it was with this one. You REALLY had me invested! 

Now I get back into Moorise, Alpha is back and all is right with the world!!

As for Moonrise, I tooootally get where you're coming from! It's definitely not irrational or crazy or immature. I always promised you all an ending to Alpha and, instead, I started another story, lol. So I completely understand if it hasn't held your interest. :)

So far I like this story.  Many werewolf stories seem to be about a dominating Alpha claiming his mate and she fights against that.  This story isn't follwing that pattern yet, so I'm excited to follow along and read as it develops.

I'm glad you're enjoying Alpha so far, jahchannah! I really, really, REALLY wanted this story to stray from the typical patterns found in many werewolf stories. Caleb's not going to be the typical 'alpha' and Ava-Rain is definitely not going to be the typical 'reluctant & indecisive [human] mate'. It just wouldn't work for this particular story.
