Great chapter.  Loved the wedding and family interaction.  Gabriel and Adele are so cute together.

OMG! So now Gabriel is smitten with Adele to the point where he is annoyed and distracted.
I'm not sure of the time frame you have set for this story but I hope it takes years for her to fully forgive him.

Dude is still asleep I see, but maybe starting to wake up.  He's just noticing the racism of his friend Humphrey which means Gabe is still clueless about his own racism and its impact on Adele.  Yet Adele has so much integrity that she shared a personal family event with Gabe to let him learn about a different culture.  He still needs a lot of work to actually be a good fit for Adele.  I want to see if/how he gets there.

I hope Adele's control isn't faltering.

Thanks for continuing this story.   Completely understand Adele's decision. Gabriel should just think about what Humphrey just said to see the attitude Adele still had to deal with working there.

As always, I do enjoy you writing, you really have a way with words.

Now about our two protagonists; I really can't blame Adele for enjoying Gabriel's company, even thought he played such a did such good job of making her miserable in the past. But in the present, their relationship seems so intense that it's obvious that's they can't help themselves.

Some reviewers criticized Adele, for being weak or forgetting easily the hurt Gabe caused. HoweverThe matters of the heart are often incomprehensible to others and conflicted.

And there's plenty of conflict of emotions and feelings, here (love it!)

Damn, I thought she'd forgiven Gabriel. Well I guess he needs to work harder for her. This story is great. I still haven't figured Max out yet I mean is he just a friend or does he secretly want Adele?? Great update. 

Kudos to Adele! I love her character!!!! Man...Gabriel...when will he ever learn. 

This story has me continuously thinking about these two. 

First Adele:  I am soooo happy she is not staying at this firm.  Humphrey's words conveyed exactly what they thought of her and how she would be treated at the firm.  Go to another firm where she has a clear slate and her actions/knowledge/abilities can shine without any additional preconceived notions based upon past looks and commentary.  She was right to leave Gabe standing there looking dumbfounded. 

Second Gabe:  WTH!!  She was being nice to your behind and you just had to open your big ass entitled/white privilege mouth and inserted (I hope for future purposes) big foot right in.  Did you not hear anything she said to you in the car that night?  Did you not hear how dismissive Humphrey was about her skills?  Are you seriously telling me he would stay in a position with a company that he would not get the respect he has earned or deserved?  I don't believe that BS for one minute.  If the shoe was on the other foot, he would be talking to Mommy and Daddy trying to start him up with his own firm.  He has yet to wake up, understand and acknowledge how the commentary he made helped shape her experience with the firm.  Lo and behold, it was ALL ABOUT GABE AND THE PERCEPTIONS HE WANTS TO PORTRAY to the management team versus ANY CARE ABOUT HER SPIRIT/EMOTION/JOY.  He gonna have to get it together and have a coming to Jesus moment before I begin to like him. 

Third Max:  Please don't let him be gay because I will take him in a heartbeat.  Just write me on in to the story and I will befriend Adele, we can hang out together as long as we was going home together.  :)
