Parents must not realize how much they affect their children, and the fact that it goes with them for the rest of their lives. First Lane and now her baby brother. I wish I could give her mom a piece of my mind, but then again this is a story.

I can I slap her mother. What happened to supporting your children's dreams? And then to slap the poor girl for no reason. When Lane is this famous author, with her hunk of a man, her mother is going to try to take credit for her success. I hope Lane will one day be able to put her in her place.

 

Dr. Farrokk is an amazing person, and you can tell that she's taken Lane under her wings. She probably thinks of her as a daughter now.
