Aww, the end made me smile. 

I am soo happy that she has finally opened her eyes to the situation with Sergei. I hope that Sergei proves to be a true friend, but I have a feeling that that may not be the case. 

I have never mentioned this, but I like the little touch of Sunny's tracing the dragon tattoo. She does it on his skin, and sometimes on the table when she's going to that place with in. The tattoo is a comfort to her, and I just like that it's not just with him, that you show it in other places.

I am sooooo HAPPY!!! Luv luv luv this update. She said YES!!!!

This was sad and a little hopeful!  I'm glad she talked to Sergei so he can stop sniffing around.  Sunshine & Nikki belong to each other.  Great update!

Sunny is enjoying her newfound independence, indulging in age-appropriate behavior, FREE of the burdens of the Jacobs and even Nicholais of her life. Although even she realizes she could have had more freedom, more independence. She is very aware of too much too soon sending her Nikki off the deep end.

Look how he had no impulse control after hearing her message. Ahhhhh, that was soooo sweet and hawt... so Nikki and Sunny. I cheered. They are so lovestruck it ain't funny.

I'm glad he declared it, claimed her, humbled himself, got on his knees, not for any man, but without hesitation for his wo-man. And Sunny folded, as I knew she would.

Damn, was that a test, or what? Sunny ever so nicely ratted out puppy dog Sergei. LOL. To his credit, Nicholai didn't pop a blood vessel. He has been working hard at tamping down the blackness. Man's got himself a date, a "normal" date with his Sunshine. I just pray, pray, pray that he doesn't go back and screw it up by re-arranging Sergei's pretty, dumb face. I did wonder what happened on the little movie "date."

I love the idea of dinner and dancing. After all, the man can dance. This fits them:

Eagerly awaiting the big night...

Another great update and one that ended with a smile on my face.  I was thinking during the previous update that Sunshine had no clue as to Sergei's feelings for her.  Now she knows.  She is growing so much on her own and becoming dependent with each day.  I like that her and Nikki are going to try a date although I think it could be a hot one.  Boy it was getting really hot in that kitchen until the delivery guy showed up.  Breathe Sunshine...Coming!  That was so good.

This chapter. Your empathic description of there mutual yearning and love just radiates through. This is actually one of my favorite chapters by far..

Oh angst !

I'm very glad Anatoly called out Sergei for his less-than-sympathetic shoulder he gave Sunshine after she left.  I'm still holding out hope that he redeems himself a bit more and shows that he's grown -- I haven't lost all faith.

Her thumb brushes the base of his throat.

 He stands up straight and her thumb rests fully on his neck. “You keep it,” she says not moving her hand. 

This is an amazing bit.  AMAZING.  It's wonderful imagery, and followed by him seeing her in the elevator is just great.  I loved it and I wish I could better describe my appreciation for it.

Two questions:

Please give Nikki back his ray of sunshine! please!

I feel so sad for Nikki..i know this is all his fault yes I know..but it is so hard to see a man so devasted. When he said love is new to me ..I almost cried again. He is so not the man that took that teen ager from her family to pay her fathers debt, Love has changed him and now it all he has to hold onto not to go back...I am afraid if he does go back this he will be worse than he has ever been before and I don't think Nikki deserves that ...he is so sad now...losing weight,,lovesick..I feel bad for him!

I am so glad Sunny has Jetta cause she is just good people a real friend...though Ms. Jetta will have to stop trying to fix our Sunny up'''her heart belongs to Nikki still and his belongs to her. If Nikki was a normal man I say a couple of dates with other guys might be good for Sunny to help her see what she actually has in Nikki but Nikki was los eit if she started dating and that would not be good for anyone.

You write their anguish, desparation, love and longing so well sweetie..you can almost feel it,...the scene in the hallway was perfect..I felt like I was standing back watching the entire scene and it btroke my heart a little.

I am so team Sunshine but I am also team Nikki..I want to come out of all this a better man...either with Sunny (plz plz plz) or with self awareness that this life is no longer any good for him!

They both can have an happy ending whether together or not!!

BTW I absolutely despise Sergei..he makes me sick and he is stoopid!!! Too stupid to see how much she still loves Nikki...and that he is being a fool!!

This chapter has some great writing in it.  Like her tracing something on the table.  You just know she was thinking about Nikki and his tattoo.  Or time when they first saw each other and she saw the hunger in his face and they stood on each side of her door thinking about each other Or when she touched his neck and she kept touching her fingers to her lips even after she was at the movies.  Great moments.  That's how you know they love each other.
