The emotion in this chapter was so overwelming. It took strength for Fredrika to talk about the attack to Rielle. Rielle was giving more insight about the family.
I was suprised that Fredricka wants to go back to St. Sebastian after all this time. Maybe she is ready to face the past so the hold it has on her future will lessen somewhat.
Colton is in protection mode:first and foremost, he has to make sure that Fredricka is ok. Then he has his sons to consider. Colton is a very strong man who loves his family.
Racial indenity is a very tricky subject and I LOVE how you handle it June. I don't get the feeling that Macus and KC are trying to 'pass'; I get the feeling that people see KC as a white man, and some can not except that he is biracial. Even though he met Rielle's multiracial family, he didn't know how she would react.
I'm giving Marcus a chance right now because his whole family is in chaos and he is going to go into protection mode just like his father.
Uncle Frank is a good dude.
I can't wait for the next installment!

Hey Chel,
I have to say that I am pleased with the chapter. Goodness knows it took me long enough to get here, but now it seems to be flowing again.
You are in my head with that assessment of the situation. Marcus will come around eventually. I think we know where everyone stands and that is in support of a woman who was traumatized as a young woman and has never come to terms with the event.
I think that K.C., Marcus and probably Danni as well never had issues with race until they got older. You hit the nail on the head and K.C. might explain his position a little better after some time has passed so that Rielle can understand.

Right now I think Reille have been trying to find a reason to push KC away since the beginnning of their relationship. She now have found it. She is scared because she has never loved or been in a relationship this deep before.
When she gets home I hope her freinds and family can help her see, what she is trying to do is wrong.

Rielle's brain has found an out but her heart and body are on a different path. She is fighting a losing battle against love though.
Her Mom is already bing the voice of reason and Frederika being the lady that she was helped too. She'll be doing a lot of thinking on that long, lonely plane ride home and even though she did a good thing in telling him to support his Mom it was hard.
